The Boston Celtics have a strong chance to repeat as NBA champions this year. They have retained the same team as last year and started the season with a win over the Knicks. With Wyc Grousbeck’s family putting the team up for sale, it’s clear they made significant moves to acquire talent last year. This wasn’t just to win a title, but because Wyc won’t be the one approving contracts when they are up for renewal. Another owner will be.
In Wyc’s view, it makes sense to go all out now and strive to win as many championships as possible before the change in ownership. The Celtics have a real opportunity to embark on a significant championship run.
In today’s NBA it’s all about shooting threes. The Celtics are so dominant they tied the most threes in a game the other night.
