After 9 amazing days in Hawaii, I am back and got all caught up on The Bachelorette. This week was full of twists, turns, and a fair share of cringy moments. The guys and Jen are still in New Zealand and enjoying the culture and of course Jen.
The first 1 on 1 date was with Sam M, and he gave us a great example of how to drop the ball when opportunity knocks. While at the sky tower, the waiter offers the two of them a chance to jump off the tower, we all know Jen is afraid of heights so that is a no, right? WRONG, this fool Sam says THEY would LOVE to jump, and he could care less about her thoughts or feelings.
Once they get to the top it gets worse, while she is an emotional wreck my guy Sam couldn’t care less, and he doubles down by telling Jen he thinks she should walk over and kiss him! If not getting the hint was a college course this would be the first day of class video they would show. In what felt like forever he FINALLY comes to his senses, comforts her, and acknowledges she has feelings and matters. The whole moment was so cringe. He saved himself at the dinner and claimed to have been engaged before, but it ended when she cheated on him. The save got him a rose.
The house was more of the guys battling it out Devin and Sam M beefing while poor Thomas can’t get more than 5 minutes alone with Jen without someone stealing his time. And he loves to fight these dudes every week. He does know the show is about falling in love with Jen, right? And he did look good in yellow, ha! Stop embarrassing yourself, bro. The rugby game was ok, but after what I watched in the Olympics that game was a snooze fest.
Devin got the other 1 on 1 date and this guy is starting to grow on me a little bit. He used his time to make his connection with Jen stronger. The two of them have deep talks and it is not the strong physical attraction you see with Sam M and Jen but that is ok. While talking about their personal “mountains” Devin says it is his mom who is the strongest women he knows and his best friend. Jen feels the same way about her dad and in real time you see the bridge being built.
The only person who got the boot this week was Sam N who was just TOO MUCH. He said he has never had a girlfriend before or falling in love and my God does it show. Super corny with his rugby jersey saying “Jenn’s Husband” on the back and walking around the house with the trophy. I will give him credit played the Thomas thing cool. But blew it when he cut him off and asked Jen if they could take things to the next level and have their first kiss. Talk about forcing it! I watched in real time as Jen went from happy to yuck and she let him down easy but gave him the boot.
The other guys were over him and so was I 5 episodes in he needs some time to grow up and learn a little bit.
We end with a cliff hanger as Jesse Palmer went full MSNBC mode with breaking news as an ex of Jen has flown to New Zeeland “on his own dime” to speak with her and tell her she is still in love with her. He also asks to be brought onto the SHOW!! What will she do? You, already know how the guys will react? Next week will be a good one.
And before I go shoutout to Jen’s stylists who is crushing it with these looks she is dropping. Until next time “You are Worthy” Sam M voice.
