This week we had some MOMENTS on the bachelorette! It was so fun to see some Bachelorette OG’s pop up this week and being the huge WICKED fan that I am the theme was SPOT ON. Back in the good ole US of A Seattle is where we find Jenn and her men as she continues her journey to love. Marcus got another 1-on-1 date and Kelsey and Daisy started them off down the yellow brick road and I thought the idea and games they played were great, I LOVED the sweet or spicy, pillow fighting in public with a side of making out. Charity (who looks amazing FYI) hands Jenn a wand to use to pop balloons that are filled with messages from their past.
We learn that Marcus is close with his sister and how much Jenn’s mom means to her. The dinner is where we finally see Marcus drop the walls and share his story. I don’t know about you but I was in tears and how he behaves all made sense. Now was that a pitty rose from Jenn or true feelings? Time will tell. And the hot air balloon with Cynthia Erivo’s version of the “Defying Gravity” inject it in my vines.
The 2nd 1-on-1 was with Jeremy. Now is it just me or did no one else know these two have such great chemistry?! Both of them are who they truly are when they hang out. He asks the florist if he can make a bouquet for Jenn, now I am sure it was planned but my guy was SMOOTH. The dinner is where they dig deep and try and find out if what they have is real or just fun times. Jeremy talks about his mother and also how it would be important to him for his children to be raised Jewish and know the culture.
Jenn lets him know she goes to Shabbat dinner with her friends back in Miami and has zero issues with his wishes, but with her being a Buddhist she wants that taught and shared also with her kids. Both laugh at the thought of raising little Jewish-Buddhist kids together. The date gets him a rose and we have two guys heading to home hometowns.
Now this is where the fun starts the group date is at a radio station and we see some legends Molly and Jason Mesnick!! They are why I love this show so much, but that was not the best part. Questions are asked to the fellas after Jenn lets it be known she has some shaky feelings for ole Sam so if they could help her out that would be great. What followed was unlike anything I have seen and it was glorious to see I had to provide video for the full effect. They play word association Sam gets “Fantasy Suites” and his answer is aggressive. What is wrong with this dude?!
He proceeds to just fumble as no man has before, the icing on this burnt cake is when he says “I got out of the limo and I thought, This girl is not my type. I thought the Bachelorette was gonna be Daisy or Maria.” WTF?! Give that man the BOOT on site! How dare you, but somehow he gets out of it and leaves Jenn angry and confused that she misread him so badly. My love language is physical touch so of course he grabs her face and starts to make out with her GROSS AF and turns out that he loves her. She asks him why he loves her and his answer is NOTHING just clearing his throat and looking stupid.
At the cocktail party, Grant lets it be known to Jenn that he is falling in love with her and she doesn’t say she feels the same, but when Devin says it she says she is falling for him as well. How this guy keeps doing it is beyond me. In the end, she hands out the final roses to Devin, and Johnathan to join Jeremy and Marcus. The look on Grant’s face was hard to watch he was crushed I felt bad for him and was happy to see he would be the next Bachelor. Spencer, Spencer, Spencer walks out alone and does what? Calls his mama to cry a bit and wonders out loud when will he meet his person, the little devil in me laughed at that I can’t lie. I can’t let Jenn off the hook either the amount of time she wasted trying to understand Sam and make it work was silly. Safe to say you need more than a physical connection to make it work. Can not wait for hometowns next week but here are my power rankings for the week.
- Devin-He isn’t going anywhere I have to accept it. This is Jenn’s journey and she sees something in him go figure.
- Jeremy- You can’t deny the way the two of them click. Will their families agree?
- Johnathan- Just staying in his lane and not saying or doing the wrong thing
- Marcus- This is my favorite. I wonder was it too late to share his true self? Will he mess it up by being too excited for the moment? I hope I am wrong and he crushes hometowns
