What is up Bachelorette fans?! We all are still laughing and getting over the cringe-fest which was Sam M’s exit last week and seeing one of my favorites get sent home only to be named the next Bachelor. No one knows us better than the people we call family and this week our final four introduced their families to Jenn. The episode had a lot of what longtime fans have come to see a mom who is very weary of their son getting heartbroken, the family that is just happy to see their family member truly happy. Let’s get into it!
First up was Devin who brought Jenn to Houston, Texas to meet the fam. And things started with a RUNNING GROUP?! That is not a typo that is how he kicked things off but, seeing how the two still were hugging and kissing afterward I guess that is ok. But, if I were Jenn that run group would have left without me just saying. With Devin’s family being blended and not traditional it doesn’t take long for Jenn to fit right in and open up since her family is the same way. He had a talk with Dad where he admits to being full-blown in love with Jenn but afraid to say it to her with other guys still in the game plus protecting his heart. His mother says let it go and shoot your shot or you will get left in the cold, like most boys do he listens to Mama and tells Jenn how he feels.
We then go to Connecticut and meet Jeremy’s family but instead of a run things start in what looks like a swamp where you dump dead bodies in. It gets better as the two of them go to a local grocery store I have nothing else to say except that it was something else. When his mom says that heard Jen describe what she wants in a man her first thought was well that is NOT my son BRUTAL, I fell off the sofa. The conversations with his fam are all about is she/he is the one and can things move on. For his part, I could see on Jeremy’s face the weight of what this was starting to hit him his mom was not rude but very to the point. Of course, he can’t let her leave without saying he is falling for her.
These dates in the guy’s hometowns are random so I was not shocked when Jonathon and Jenn play Lacrosse a game they both are passionate about. His family is pretty cool we had people who met on Tinder and now are married. His family makes it clear to him that if his feelings are there go for it and leave it all out on the field. He takes the words to heart and lets her know how he is feeling.
Marcus who I like but am afraid is going to lose because he has so many walls up is the last to go. No date we get right to meeting his people as the kids say these days. Marcus is going through it trying to let Jenn in but is also afraid of what might happen, his sister goes to bat for him and makes Jenn feel a lot better about where the two are. His sister also chats with him and gives him so real talk which leads to him sharing with the person who matters Jenn that he is falling for her. Maybe I was a sucker for the story about his childhood I want this guy to win badly.
The guys meet up for a few beers and that is a bad idea for Marcus he feels he is not where the other men are emotionally and the doubt is taking over him. Too late buddy this is the final four baby! At the Rose Ceremony Jenn picks Devin, Jonathon, and MARCUS!! I have to ask myself as we get down to the final 3 are any of these men actually ready to be engaged? At this point based on what we have seen it wouldn’t be a shock if Jen says no to all 3 and walks away with no one or at least a serious boyfriend. It is hard not to jump down the Reddit rabbit hole and find spoilers but I like my drama old school style where I know nothing and get that shock value. Next week could be a banger of an episode, what do you think let me know in the comments!
