This season of The Bachelor is on hyper speed we have reached hometowns already people. Grant picked his final four and got to see where these ladies came from and who the important people in their lives were. I am still researching but we got Zoe who made the final 4 having never had a 1-on-1 date which has to be a first in show history right? Grant went to four states and we even had one person’s ENTIRE family choose not to show up.
First up was my number-one contender Juliana! She showed Grant a fun time in Newton, Massachusetts from making pizza to baking. The chemistry between them is clear as day and they have fun together. The Bachelor says all the things you want to hear from him about Juliana “romantic,” “intense,” “physical,” “emotional,” and “mental.” The funny thing is none of those are specific will we get a more solid sense of how he feels? When they get to her parent’s house the whole gang is there I’m talking 2nd and 3rd cousins! She gave Grant a warning ahead of time that it was a big group and he was the first guy she brought home in 6-7 years. He seemed a bit overwhelmed at first but settled in quickly.

Grant killed his time with her dad Carl who doesn’t want to hear someone say they would love them as a father-in-law so they could learn from them. And one of the qualities that made him fall for his daughter is her loyalty. In the other room, Juliana was sharing with her sister how much she likes Grant. Before he leaves Grant lets Juliana know he is “falling for her” It’s not the L word but it is enough for her to feel great about where the two of them stand. Overall it was a fun visit and her family seems super cool.
Well, look who finally gets some solo time. Zoe meets Grant in New York one thing I will say is Zoe gave this date all she had it was so funny. A walk in the Park where our Bachelor said he would be willing to move to NYC and the date for the day was perfect for someone who feels they got one shot at this. A full proposal-to-wedding-themed photo shoot with Brides magazine. Go get your man Zoe lol. You can see it as plain as black and white on the model side of Zoe and the two of them look GREAT in the pictures but how does that equal a relationship this late in the game? Zoe let Grant know he will NOT be meeting her adoptive parents she has cut them off and he will meet her selected family.
That is her sister, uncle, aunt, and close friends. Faith who is Zoe sister is not here for games she right away wants to know why Zoe never got a 1 on 1 date like everyone else. Grant stumbles through an answer and says enough to satisfy Faith. But do these two have a future as husband and wife? I just don’t see it, but that’s me. The date ends with him telling Zoe he feels confident and hopeful. Oh, boy off to date number 3.
Litia meets Grant at home which is Star Valley, Wyoming along with her mom, dad, and brothers. With Grant being the first non-Mormon man she has brought home both of them are nervous as they should be. “My family is all Mormon,” she tells Grant. “You are the first person that I’d bring home that’s not also in our same religion.” Well all right then. He shares that his mom was very religious and that he grew up watching issues with his father over matters of faith, a mistake our Bachelor doesn’t want to repeat.
First the talk with her dad who assures Grant he does not have to become a Mormon but drops a MAJOR hint that Litia isn’t 22 and wants kids just like her brothers and other family members. Tik-Tok my man Tik-Tok. Her mom also says that as long as God is a major part of their family’s life he does NOT need to convert to Mormonism. The star of the visit was her wonderful grandpa who had me misty-eyed as he dropped gems on life and love and made Litia feel good about where she and Grant are heading. I had to call my pop pop the next day “If it works out,” he says, “I’m happy for you.” this sweet man!
Litia talked with her mom about holding back, and how she fears Grant will sleep with the other ladies at fantast suites. She will not sleep with him and go against everything she is props to her, her mother says Grant needs to know how you feel so step up and say the words. We always listen to Mama which she does and Grant lets her know he is falling in love with her as well. Every season my feelings on the contestants change over time I love Litia and that was not how I felt 2 weeks ago. She means well and has a fun vibe about her.

Last was Dina in Chicago and this was a hometown’s for the books. My number 2 has been Dina coming into this week I felt she could pass Juliana in the rankings with a strong visit. Well, it took all of 2 seconds for me to throw that out the window. Dina’s family is not interested in being on a reality TV dating show, so Grant will not be meeting them today. Dina explains that her dad is a pastor and that he’s “very into the church,” so neither he nor her mother was willing to participate in this Bachelor’s business. “I don’t want you to think that they have some issue with you, because they don’t at all,” adds Dina. Nice touch and a real human moment when he asks her how SHE is feeling about that. Take notes men that is how you put someone else’s feelings first.
After some fun in a corn maze and fall fun they meet up with Dina’s friends who lift her spirits and show up for a friend in need like real friends do. Grant handles all the questions on why he chose their friend like a pro as he should on date number 4 lol.
We get to see our boy Joey Graziadei! He offers very good advice to Grant about the journey and next steps. While the bros hang the ladies recap hometowns and when they hear that Dina’s family was a no-show you could hear a pin drop.
Rose ceremony time I knew it was going to happen but Dina got the boot, I respect her for having her head held high as well as the goodbye she and Grant shared. The no-show by her family had to have given him a little bit of pause and he trusted his gut like Joey said. Our final 3 are Litia, Juliana, and Zoe next up is fantasy suites. Heading to that the top 3 have to be:
1. Juliana
2. Litia
3. Zoe
