We watch our favorite sports shows and team games for entertainment, but some of us also watch for the latest trends in fashion. Yep, while we hear why Josh Allen should be forgiven for another pick you can’t help but peep what the panel is wearing. From the shoes to the boots or tie these people mostly come with a fire fit daily. Whether you are on the Nike app looking for those kicks you saw on a YouTube show or trying to impress your girl by grabbing those boots you can’t escape it. With that being said Joe and I have discussed and argued over who we think are the best-dressed people in sports media, our 2nd annual “Fit Awards” we have a nice mix of returning winners and some rookies who burst on the scene with a bang. And just like last year the list is NOT in any particular order but one thing is the same FIT CHECKS on 100.
1. Colleen Wolfe NFL Network:
I would describe her style as VERSATILE. It can be Hollywood glam one day and a girl next door, hanging with the boys. But it’s always clean and fits the moment. Being so consistent is tough but she pulls it off and makes her debut on the list.
2. Chelsea Cabarcas MLS Game Analyst Apple TV:
A former athlete who holds it down on MLS League pass and has an insight into the game only those who played at a high level would know.
3. Alex Curry Fox Sports: As Joe calls her the “Jumpsuit Queen” returns to the winner’s circle. But we won’t sell her short her positive energy adds to her style along with a smile I would kill for, but I have to admit I spent more time checking out her shoe game, and it’s top notch.
4. Cassidy Hubbarth ESPN: Where do we start? Vogue doesn’t just pick anyone to be featured her accomplishments in the media field are also not to be forgotten. I love how she makes sure the accessories level up each fit as well. DETAILS matter.
5. Ryan Clark Host The Pivot Podcast, ESPN, Inside The NFL: When I asked Joe why we should add Ryan he kept it simple and said “That brother is sharp on the daily” Nuff said he is making other men step their game up.
6. Micah Richards CBS Sports: First off if you are a fan of futbol and do NOT watch The Premier League Show on CBS Sports what ya doing? It is SO GOOD. And Mr. Richards is hilarious while also coming with it on the fashion tip. His suit game is not to be played with along with those daily haircuts lol.
7. Laura Rutledge Host NFL Live ESPN: Proof that you don’t have to dress like you are going to the club to be noticed. If Joe had let me I could have done an article just on her boots alone lol. And she is one of four people we both had on our lists.
8. Taylor Rooks Sports Journalist: I describe her style as straight class. From the White House to covering Thursday night football her choice of outfit always makes sense. All the while breaking glass ceilings for black women in sports media.
9. Turron Davenport ESPN Reporter Tennessee Titans: Of course, he’s back. Bow ties and matching J’s deserve our votes first and foremost he is the only one doing it and does it well. If you are fan of the Tennessee Titans he is a must follow.
10. Kate Ado Host and Reporter CBS Sports: She continues to just be a force in the industry and one of both of our favorites in the biz. Keeping the guys in line during her host duties or on her new show “Kicking It” Kate comes correct with a style that is totally European and there is nothing wrong with that my friends. Having some Louis Vuitton in your life is just fine.
11. Joy Taylor Host Speak On FS1: What are we looking for in the fit? A night out or a day with the squad Joy checks the boxes. Not to mention are we the only two people that follow her on socials and now have to get our passports renewed?
12. Joe Buck Monday Night Football: The old school look isn’t dead and he keeps it alive, a simple suit with a sharp tie that gives a pop to his fits. Some may call it boring I would disagree.
13. Jenny Taft TV Host and Reporter Fox Sports: One of the rising stars in the game for her insightful questions and chill interview style. She is also a great follow on social, her style is dope. Covering the Big 10 is fun for about 2 weeks and she still brings the pop with classy boots and jackets, and she has fun with it which is what it’s all about.
14. Steven A. Smith Host ESPN First Take: Would this list be valid without him on it? Mixing up colors and patterns Mr. ESPN is never not dressed for the moment.
16. Christine Cupo:
One of the best follows on social media and the person Joe credits Christine with teaching him enough about Serie A to hold conversations with Italians and not sound too dumb. On the fashion side, we LOVE her style it’s fun and strikes a nice balance of formal and chill which we could all use some advice on.
17. Jenny Chiu Golazo Network: How many fashion series did YOU make this year that were straight fire? From her fashion haul videos to the unboxings Jenny knows style and we can get on board with that. She also is one of the best up-and-coming journalists in the soccer arena. Pay attention.
18. Kimmi Chex NFL Network Host: Kimmi hosts NFL Total Access on the NFL Network and has become one of the biggest stars on the network. Her style is FIERCE. From her makeup to her choice of outfits a statement is made and I love her for it. She also showcases her skills away from the NFL showcasing brands and being a kickass mom.
19. Sarah Kustok NBA Analyst: When not being busy breaking down the Nets and the rest of the NBA Sarah is killing it with fresh outfits and a shoe collection I would die for. And we can’t forget about a killer smile which is the most important accessory.
20. Ryan Ruocco ESPN: Too smooth from his trademark pocket square and wearing some of the freshest suits around Ryan makes the list. I always love how the shirt gives a bit of contrast and pop to his suit colors something not everyone does.
We could have gone 30-40 deep with this year’s list and maybe in 2024, we break it into 2 parts. But we want to wish everyone a happy New Year and if you are stepping out maybe one of these winners can help spark an idea to look fly. Fashion isn’t everything but to some, it is important we both had so much fun debating this list. Who did we miss? Let us know congrats to all our winners and keep looking FRESH.
