Seeing the overreaction by so many people online folks after the Team USA Women’s Soccer National Team exited the Women’s World Cup of Soccer tournament earlier than most expected, yet again I see the same type of response that drives the rest of the world crazy when it comes to dealing with U.S. sports “fanatics.” Note I said fanatics and not normal FANS!!
This isn’t an Anti-American tirade. Remember I am a dual citizen of the U.S. and Canada. So I enjoy seeing both countries play well and win when they deserve to do so.

Team USA Women’s Soccer
Yes, you’ve been the dominant nation in the world of women’s soccer. That started to come crashing down when the U.S. women lost in Tokyo to Team Canada who would go on to win the Olympic gold medal at the 2020 Olympic games.
Now don’t get me wrong I am not accusing the regular fan out there of not realizing the rest of the world can catch up and outplay the Americans. I am speaking to those who feel that no matter what sport you want to talk about the U.S. is always going to be number one. How did that work out for you “Fanatics?”
I am simply asking for the U.S.A.!! U.S.A.!! chanters to understand that you can’t always win every time out. It doesn’t mean you need to fire the head coach, nor does it mean that the players who are really young, especially at the forward spots are bad. They simply got outplayed and outcoached quite possibly. Is this the end of times as the best team in the world? Not necessarily so.

It just so happens that when other countries put forth more money for their national teams amazingly they can catch up to the dominant countries. This happens in every sport you can name out there. Tennis anyone? Remember the good old days of men’s tennis when Jimmy Connors and John McEnroe dominated the sport? Those days are long over with. The same thing we are witnessing with the Team USA women’s soccer team.
So out comes the “Hate Brigade” those so-called fans who attack the women’s team for having been represented by Megan Rapinoe and other lesbians. Who the hell cares about someone’s sexuality in 2023? Oh yeah a bunch of incels apparently do…smh

These idiots who are pleased to see Team USA Women’s soccer team lose earlier than ever in any World Cup are simply that, IDIOTS!!! They don’t deserve any respect at all. Especially when attacking someone over their sexual preference. I was inundated with this type of nonsense courtesy of the same group of people who are so-called “patriots.”
This is where I get angry with so many “fans” no matter what sport we discuss. There is no supreme being that deems the U.S. as number one in every sport folks. It applies to women’s hockey where yes you guessed it right again the U.S. women’s loses to Team Canada quite regularly.
I wrote about Christine Sinclair earlier this week after the Team Canada women’s team was eliminated not even reaching the round of sixteen. Was I all up in anyone’s face over losing? No, I understand that in a team sport, there are always going to be teams that come out of nowhere and pull off the upset.

Again Vladko Adonvoski isn’t a miracle worker. He had a much younger squad to work with and guess what folks? The younger squad wasn’t ready for the type of games they faced. It happens so get over it America. The U.S. Women’s Soccer team will be just fine and they will once again become better. Just realize that the rest of the world is getting much better. The lack of offense during the games was astounding for me to see, but again they are a very young group, especially up front.
Team USA Women’s Soccer lost at the World Cup for a variety of reasons. The sexuality of the players doesn’t matter. The new head coach isn’t to blame either. Could the coach have used more substitutes, especially against the Dutch? Yes but would have the result might have been worse.
So for this World Cup of Women’s Soccer, neither team I cheer for has advanced. Team Canada and Team USA Women’s Soccer teams need to go back to work and figure out how to correct what happened to both sides during this FIFA Women’s World Cup. All is not lost.
