Lamar Jackson is approaching his last year under his rookie contract deal and all the talk this off-season has been about the Baltimore Raven’s future with Lamar Jackson as their quarterback.
Jackson was drafted in the 2018 NFL draft, and since Jackson’s been the Raven’s starter he has lived up to the expectations and been one of the best quarterbacks and players in the national football league.
In Jackson’s young career, 2 pro bowls, and an all-pro and NFL league MVP on his resume.
With Jackson being a former league MVP. He deserves to be one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the National Football League if not the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL.
Jackson has been the reason why the Baltimore Ravens have been one of the best teams in the NFL because everything starts and ends with Jackson.
When you think about the value of Jackson to the Baltimore Ravens. He’s been the heartbeat for Baltimore because everything is built around Jackson.
Since coach John Harbaugh, decided to make the Ravens the starting quarterback for the Ravens. They’ve led the NFL in rushing for multiple seasons because of the greatness of Lamar Jackson.
Jackson has rushed for over 1,000 plus in the 2019 & 2020 seasons. Jackson was also on pace to having another 1,000-rushing season but he got didn’t finish the season because of an ankle injury.
When you think about the excitement when it comes to the players in the national football league. Lamar Jackson is the most entertaining player to watch in all the national football league because of his skill set and he does things that most athletes just can’t do like Jackson can.
One of the biggest reasons why I think Jackson should get his new contract because when you play at the highest level in any sport. You risk injury every time you step on whatever platform you are on.
With the style of play that Jackson plays, he’s more likely to get hurt rather than Tom Brady because Jackson’s game relies more on his athletic ability and Brady’s game doesn’t rely much on atheism.
If Lamar Jackson plays this season without a new contract and he gets hurt in the season, there’s a possibility that Jackson won’t get the money he deserves because of his style of play and because he’s not an accurate thrower of the football like some quarterbacks in the NFL.[pickup_prop id=”25216″]
Jackson has shown that he can beat you by throwing the ball down the field in multiple games in the regular season. However, people will still question Jackson’s throwing ability to the level of a Patrick Mahomes and other big names quarterbacks in the NFL.
When you think about all the great quarterbacks in the NFL right now. Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and the list goes on. They have always had a go-to receiver they can always rely on throughout the season and postseason.
Jackson on the other hand has never had a go-to wide receiver he can on throughout the regular season and post-season. Lamar Jackson’s game will go to another level if the Ravens get him a named receiver that can take some pressure off him.
The Ravens as a franchise need to play their part and sign Jackson to a long-term contract and make him one of the highest or highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL and find Jackson a true number one receiver.
The true definition of MVP is Lamar Jackson, and he has been the foundation for the Ravens since he’s been their starting quarterback.
Lamar Jackson should not play this season until he’s getting his contract finalized.
