Sandra Birchmore applied to be a Police Explorers participant with the Stoughton Massachusetts police department in March of 2010. She was 12 years old and remained with the program until 2016. A detective at the time of the Stoughton Police Department Matthew Farwell was an instructor on the program and befriended her on Facebook in 2012. Farwell a 27-year-old Stoughton detective manipulated and assaulted Sandra for his sick pleasures. He knew he could get away with it because he was a police officer with police friends who would cover for him if something happened.
While Farwell was hooking up with Sandra in 2013, he gets married to his wife and the Stoughton Police sent out the below tweet at the time
So, while being married, on duty, and off duty Farwell would have this secret life with this underage girl because if something happened, he knew because of being a cop he would get away with it. Upon turning legal, Sandra and Farwell exchanged over 32,000 text messages between 2019 and 2021. An affidavit states that in 2020, Sandra learned from a friend that Farwell was expecting his third child with his wife. At the time, Sandra had a strong desire to have a child of her own.
Sandra gave Farwell an ultimatum: either have a child with her or she would disclose their pre-marital relationship to his wife. Despite being married and his wife being pregnant, Farwell had been involved with Sandra before he got married. Sandra informed him via a message in December 2020 that she was pregnant, according to the affidavit.
The FBI Saw Something Going On With The Sandra Birchmore Case Things Didn’t Add Up
Because of Farwell’s position in law enforcement, he felt that he was losing control of the situation. According to the FBI, he lost his temper and started acting strangely around Sandra leading up to February 1, 2021. In the weeks leading up to Sandra’s murder, he asked for a key to her apartment and was seen looking around her apartment as if he was planning something, according to the affidavit. Sandra told friends that he was acting weird, looking in her closet and bathroom.
On February 1, 2021, there’s video surveillance of Sandra going outside with a snowbrush then going back into the apartment building. Around 9 Farwell is seen going into the apartment head down hood on with a COVID mask on. He goes into her apartment.
The last movement of Sandra’s phone is three minutes before Farwell is seen leaving the apartment on February 1st. After that Farwell went to the hospital as his wife had their third child the next day. While the night before Farwell killed Sandra and staged it to look like suicide. Again, he knew he could get away with it because he was a cop. Boy was he correct.
Officer Michael Lank was the first responder to Sandra’s apartment in Canton for a well-being check on February 4th. However, Lank’s police report contained errors, stating the wrong date as February 2, 2021, and failed to mention Farwell entering the apartment building. Detective Kevin Albert and Michael Proctor were also called to the scene, and this incident may have relevance to another cover-up in 2022. Farwell was interviewed by the Massachusetts State Police and provided false information about when the sexual relationship started, claiming it began in 2020. Allegedly, due to their friendly relationship, the investigators looked the other way and believed Farwell.
Trooper Nicholas Guarino retrieved Farwell’s phone and found no communication between Farwell and Sandra. The Norfolk DA, Massachusetts State Police, the Canton and Stoughton Police departments all concluded that Sandra Birchmore had committed suicide.
The Karen Read Case Is Connected Because It Involves The Same Distract Attorney’s Office and Massachusetts State Police
In January 2022, less than a year after Sandra Birchmore’s death, Karen, her boyfriend Boston Police Officer John O’Keeffe, and several other officers were having fun at a late-night gathering. Jen McCabe, whose sister is married to retired Boston officer Brian Albert, invited Karen and John over to Brian’s house after the Waterfall closed. Karen dropped John off at Brian’s and watched him walk to the side door.
We all know what happened after that. Officer O’Keefe was found on Brian Albert’s front lawn the following day by Jen McCabe, Kerry Roberts, and Karen Read. Michael Lank was the first responder on the scene that morning and conducted interviews inside the Albert house. There weren’t any pieces of the taillight found at the scene that morning when the Canton police were using leaf blowers to clear the area.
Lank is the same officer who showed up at the Birchmore apartment in February of 2021. The taillight wasn’t found at the scene until later that evening after the state police impounded Karen’s car that afternoon. Dighton Cop Nick Barrors testified that the taillight was only cracked, not missing a ton of pieces.
The issue is that nobody in that house saw a body when they left hours later. Since it wasn’t snowing heavily, if John wasn’t on the front lawn, where could they be? It seems likely John was inside the house. However, just like in the Birchmore case, they are all cops and friends, so people are choosing to ignore the situation.
Karen is being framed for murder, and Sandra Birchmore’s death was mistakenly believed to be a suicide. This is the work of the same District Attorney, Massachusetts State Police, and Canton Police. Additionally, Nicholas Guarino examined Jen McCabe’s phone and found nothing, not even the Google search about how long it takes to die in the cold at 2:27 am. Just like in the Birchmore case, he was covering for his cop friends.
Guarino missed over 32000 text messages that the FBI dug up between Birchmore and Farwell are you serious? How do you miss that? Simple by looking the other way.

For a long time now, many of us have asked when will @FBIBoston step in to arrest those involved in the coverup of John O’Keefe’s murder and the framing of Karen Read. Well, they haven’t yet. However, yesterday’s arrest of Matthew Farwell is very telling. They are watching and will strike when they are ready.
The FBI discovered that Sandra’s injuries were not consistent with suicide and that she was strangled. During the Karen Read trial, it was revealed that the marks on Officer John O’Keefe’s arm did not match those caused by being hit by a car. The FBI is currently investigating the handling of the Sandra Birchmore case by the same DA and Massachusetts State Police involved in the Karen Read case.
In both incidents, law enforcement officials Michael Proctor and Matthew Farwell sent text messages expressing disturbing wishes. Proctor stated that he wished Karen Read would kill herself, while Farwell expressed the same to Sandra. Both individuals have been considered outsiders and were blamed for their own actions until Wednesday. This is just the beginning, as the individuals involved in covering up what happened with Sandra Birchmore and at 34 Fairview Road in Canton will be next.
