The San Diego Padres play the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park for the first time since 2013. It’s also the first time Don Orsillo will make his return to Fenway Park with the Padres since NESN decided they were better off with Boring Dave O’Brien.
The Padres Head To Fenway
The Padres are coming off a sweep of the Washington Nationals despite some injuries. Jurickson is leading the way and an All-Star candidate. He’s becoming one of the best players the Padres have right now. Also, Jackson Merrill is having himself a great rookie season and is on pace for Rookie Of The Year. Here is Profar the other night
One thing Fenway Park does is sell out because of the opposing fans. I expect the Padres fan base to show up this weekend and make their presence known. I’ll be going on Saturday. Let the Red Sox ownership know that one of the biggest mistakes they did was losing Don Orsillo. Orsillo and Mark Grant are the best duo in the game right now. You want to be entertained watching a two or three hour game not bored out of your mind. That’s what Tom Werner and NESN have now. Let them Know Padres fans.
The Padres Are Built To Win Now
The San Diego Padres are built to win now unlike the Red Sox who are the Tampa Bay Rays. Alex Cora who’s on the last year of his deal with the Red Sox hates it. I think if the Padres don’t make the playoffs they should make a run at Cora. They are a contender and really should be better than they are.
Mike shildt has done good but making the playoffs is important with this team. I think the Padres are playing together but if they miss the playoffs they should be one of the teams to go after Cora. He can get them over the hump.
Here is Dylan Cease and Jake Cronenworth after the win on Wednesday against the Nationals.
“The best stretch of games we’ve had all year,” added second baseman Jake Cronenworth.
Now they are shipping to Boston where the Padres will hopefully get some “Slam Diego” calls from Don Orsillo at Fenway Park his old stomping grounds. Like I said earlier show up Padres fans let Tom Werner and John Henry know he’s got a boring baseball team and a boring broadcast booth on NESN.
