Ortiz vs. Hooker Result:
Complaints about good fights not happening and cherry picking, when a young fighter like Vergil Ortiz says even if he’s not ready he wants to challenge a Champion are legit.
However lots of Boxing Insiders say Vergil Ortiz, Jr. shouldn’t be doing that because he is simply just not ready.
"I'M LOOKING AT YOU BUD!"@VergilOrtiz would LOVE a fight against @TerenceCrawford next 🍿 pic.twitter.com/TSE41vozYm

Being of direct Fight Club Decent, I have seen up close both results after that Coin Flip.
@GregCowboys Grew up watching a young "Champ" saying things like this Then while they were cutting off tape off his hands, would say his promoter "Ready or not, Make it Happen! That's what I'm paying for…" #Boxeo #Boxing 🗣️ Rumble, Youngman…Rumble 🥊 pic.twitter.com/RKjRvPZ5LS

Preview: Alexander Povetkin vs Dillian Whyte 2 (Mar. 27, DAZN)
Dillian Whyte will attempt to avenge his shocking defeat by Alexander Povetkin as the heavyweight duo face off in an eagerly-awaited rematch in Gibraltar this weekend.
The so-called ‘Rumble on the Rock’ comes seven months after Whyte appeared to see his long wait for a world title shot ruined as a shuddering left uppercut in the fifth round of their delayed first meeting at Matchroom’s Fight Camp made him lose WBC interim status.
Battle-hardened Russian Povetkin – whose only previous defeats were at the hands of Wladimir Klitschko and Anthony Joshua – had been dominated and knocked down twice through the first four rounds of that encounter, but recovered with a knockout to reinforce his reputation as a dangerous opponent for any heavyweight contender, even in his 40s.
This rematch was originally supposed to take place at Wembley Arena in November, only for delays owing to Povetkin testing positive for Covid-19, with January also ruled out.
The contest was then finally slated for March 6, only to be pushed back again last month and switched to the unusual location of Gibraltar due to coronavirus travel restrictions, with Whyte having been training in Portugal – a country previously on the UK’s “red list”.
Another loss here is simply unthinkable for ‘The Bodysnatcher’ if he wants to potentially meet the winner of Tyson Fury’s pair of undisputed mega-clashes with former foe Joshua agreed for this year.

Povetkin (36-2-1, 25 KO) and Whyte (27-2, 18 KO) will meet again in Gibraltar, the fight having been delayed from January to March 6 to now March 27. It’s a must-see. Povetkin is 42 now, but all the pressure here is on the 32-year-old Whyte.
