Philadelphia won the coin flip and decided to receive the football for the first time since 2016.
The idea was to get off to a fast start by putting the Eagles’ offense on the field first.
Unfortunately, the Eagles’ offense coughed up the football on their first two possessions leading to 14 early points and the Cowboys cruised to victory, snapping a three-game losing streak.
“I firmly believe this game will not be a nail biter. One team will exploit the other’s weaknesses, and do so often. The winner, if it’s the Cowboys, would be 3-0 in the division and pretty much have a stranglehold on the NFC East.”, Greg Rector – Team NBS on The Full Monte Football Show.
Prophetic words.
Why they lost?
2 possessions, 2 fumbles and 2 Dallas touchdowns…not the start the Eagles were hoping for at all.
Are they in trouble?
Yes! Unless the Eagles clean house and rebuild the secondary, they will never see the post season again.
The Philadelphia Eagles’ defense does not need any help giving up early scores, but the offensive unit decided to help-out never the less.
The Cowboys are a totally different team when they have an early lead.
And since Carson Wentz’s security blanket, Zach Ertz was missing in action, for the most part, all night, it was easy pickings after that for Dallas.
Player of the game?
Dak Prescott.
Dak Prescott was visibly extra fired up from the start of the game, however he needs a lot help around him in order to continue to be successful.
Next opponent?
Buffalo Bills at New Era Field.
