The Patriots are about to go 1-3. That was a must-win today against the Baltimore Ravens and they blew it before the game even started. Benching Jakobi Meyers because he called out the offense and Matt Patricia is complete dog food. That is not putting the best interest in the team and wanting to win the game. I don’t believe for one second Meyers was out of today’s game because of a leg injury. It was definitely because of the report from last Sunday that he questioned the offense. Matt Patricia is a big baby and benched him like he did Kendrick Bourne and Malcolm Butler in the 2017 Super Bowl.
Could Mac Jones be done for the season?
Now, Mac Jones looks like he just broke either his leg or ankle on their last possession. If Meyers had been in the game Mac probably wouldn’t have had those interceptions that were intended to DeVante Parker thank you Patricia. Now Jones is probably done for the season and that falls on Patricia and Belichick for letting their egos get in the way instead of doing what’s best to win a football game.
DeVante Parker had a better game today
Parker had a better game he had to with Meyers out he had no choice. The offensive line was better, but Kendrick Bourne should still be on the field more. Agholor has two fumbles this season after catching the ball over the middle. Would they dare put Bourne in the game in a key spot? Nope because he too has called out the offense and questioned it. I’m so sick of how the way Bill has let Patricia control this offense like he’s josh McDaniel’s. McDaniel’s wouldn’t set Jones up to fail and that is what this coaching staff is doing. Now, he’s probably done for the entire season. Way to go Bill Belichick.
The Patriots beat themselves today
The game against the Ravens today was winnable and the Patriots beat themselves all across the board. That falls on Bill and Patricia. I’m going to keep saying it if Meyers was in that game, they would’ve won, and Jones wouldn’t have either a broken ankle or leg. The Ravens were trying to give that game to the Patriots a few times today in the second half. The defense made some key stops and turnovers. The Patriots also had some penalties that cost them too. Isaiah Wynn had two of them today and a too many men on the field on defense.
Kiss the season goodbye if Mac Jones is done for the year
If Jones is done for the season, you can kiss the season goodbye. They’ll be lucky to win six games with Brian Hoyer as the quarterback. Might as well start Bailey Zappe since the season will be a complete wash. Especially with the clown show, you have on the offensive coaching staff. I’m sick out the takes that Mac isn’t good or has a noodle arm. He made some good throws today and some not-so-good ones. But he is doing the best he can with the tools he has to work with. He needs an actual quarterback coach and coordinator. Not coaches who have complete zero experience on that side of the ball.
The Patriots are now 1-2 on the season and will probably be 1-3 a week from today. They visit the Green Bay Packers next week. I don’t care who Aaron Rodgers has to throw to the Patriots aren’t beating them when they are home period. I expect Brian Hoyer to start that game as Mac will probably have to have surgery. In insight if Mac is done for the season maybe next year, he will have an actual offensive coordinator and not one of Bill’s friends setting him up to fail.
