The New England Patriots had a strong first win of the season on Sunday. Jacoby Brissett showed great decision-making and ball security, and the defense performed well. It’s worth noting that Bill Belichick, the former Patriots coach of 24 years, drafted many of the defensive players. Despite this, during a recent interview with Pat McAfee Belichick was not asked about the Patriots’ victory. That is ridiculous and wrong nobody cares about grab ass talk. Everyone would want Belichick’s opinion on the Patriots win.
Belichick Won’t Talk About The Patriots Win
Belichick’s reluctance to discuss the game, despite his pivotal role in drafting key players, including Brissett, appears to be driven by his unhappiness about the team’s current situation. However, this seems unjustified given his immense contribution to the team’s success over the years.
In the game, the offensive line performed better than expected, allowing only one sack and providing Brissett with sufficient time to execute his plays. It’s also worth acknowledging the strategic input of Alex Van Pelt, whose familiarity with the Bengals from his time at the Browns helped shape the game plan.

Jerod Mayo said the following on the offensive line
The Players Love Playing For Mayo Which Was Missed When Belichick Was Here The Last Four Years
Do you know what Mayo achieved that Belichick couldn’t? Mayo managed to gain the trust and support of the players, something Belichick couldn’t do in his last four years in New England. When Belichick had Patricia and Judge take charge of the offense with Mac Jones, the players started to lose faith in the team’s direction. However, when Mayo signed the deal at the end of 2022 to be the successor, there was a noticeable shift in tension, which even spread to the field.
Now, with Eliot Wolf bringing in his own staff while retaining some of the players Belichick drafted, Mayo, as the head coach, has successfully gained the trust and support of the players. That’s why Mayo received the Gatorade bath at the end of the game – the players love playing for Mayo. They didn’t have the same enthusiasm for playing for Belichick toward the end. This also explains why Belichick won’t get asked about it on McAfee, as it’s still too recent and he knows the players didn’t play for him.
