Mac Jones is lighting up the football field in his rookie season. So far, he’s thrown 16 touchdowns 8 interceptions, and has a 70.3 completion percentage. On Sunday’s win over the Titans, he threw for 310 yards and two touchdowns. Yes, the Titans were missing key players but Jones still showed poise in the pocket and make some key plays in the game. There were a few misses like the pass to Hunter Henry but overall, he had a great game. It’s safe to say Jones is the best quarterback of the rookie class and should the frontrunner for Rookie of The Year.
Another big test comes this week as the Patriots battle the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football. If the Patriots offense does what it’s been doing on this win streak, then it should have no problem. Also, if the defense can rattle Josh Allen in some bad throws, then we may see some turnovers from the Bills. The Patriots defense led by Matt Judon has been a force in creating pressure on the quarterback. The offense led by Mac Jones has also been sufficient in scoring points.
Kendrick Bourne is also having a great year so far. He has 5 touchdowns and 623 yards. Bourne is becoming one of Mac’s favorite targets he gets open and even can go over the middle. He is also great at gaining yards after the catch like we saw on Sunday with the touchdown. Here is what Mac Jones said after Sunday’s game about Bourne and Jakobi Meyers
Patriots Fans Comparing This Team To 2001
The talking heads around New England and the Country are talking about Jones being like Tom Brady. Listen, we will never see a Tom Brady again in the history on the NFL. But Jones I bet has watched a ton of Brady film and of course the offense is going to work for Jones since he is a pocket passer like Brady is. Can we just enjoy this Patriots season without already talking about he’s the next Tom Brady? Jones is running the Patriots offense correctly and watching Brady for 20 years has helped. But, he isn’t Tom Brady. Just enjoy where this team is at in this moment. Second place in the AFC and first place in the AFC East the Patriots are back.
Tom Brady wasn’t who he is today in 2001. Even after they won Super Bowl XXXVI. It took Belichick building up the defense and having the quarterback to win in big moments. I will give you this, players have bought into Mac Jones and that is huge. Having a quarterback, you can trust even on defense puts you in a great mindset. With Cam Newton last year the Patriots mindset was off and it was a boring season. Now, with a rookie who can actually play the position and have a winning record the players have bought in. That is similar to any team with a good quarterback. It’s the most important position in sports and if you have a good one the team can function properly.

SO let him play……all the trash talk from outside NE is just fans who fear a third Dynasty in NE…..they are really scared….They are scared that Belichick has rebuilt the team to compete for championships after saying he could not coach at all…..funny stuff….No team in NFL history scares the crap out of opposing team and opposing fans than the DYNASTY
