Odell Beckham Jr. Watch

As the sports world waits for Odell Beckham Jr. to make a decision, football fans around the country are speculating on Twitter. It’s really down to the Chiefs, Packers, Saints, and Patriots all are in the hunt for Odell Beckham Jr. Sticking with the Patriots why would it make sense to bring a diva receiver like this one to play alongside a rookie quarterback? He would be playing for the greatest coach of all-time in Bill Belichick however, they’ve tried this in the past with Antonio Brown, Chad Ochocinco, and Randy Moss. It either worked for a year then faded which is what happened to Moss. Ochocinco didn’t understand the playbook and Brown lasted five days.

Odell Beckham Praise For Bill Belichick

Belichick has always praised Beckham in the past and vice versa. Here are some quotes from Beckham about Belichick from 2019.

“Going against Bill Belichick, this is somebody who I have much respect for. Probably talk to him before and after the game. He tells me the same thing every time, he’s like: ‘I hope you enjoy today because there’s not going to be much for you.’ That’s what he’s told me and that’s what he does every single time. It’s just tough. He’s going to coach it up and they’re going to be ready and prepared. “I was looking at Don Shula, I don’t know how many wins he has, and I’m thinking, ‘Is Belichick trying to surpass that?’ ” he told reporters. “And I just didn’t want to give him the 300th win today. But he went out and got it. He’s a phenomenal coach. You could argue he’s the best ever.”

Here is what Beckham told Cam Newton at a roundtable on his podcast in 2020.

“To be going to Belichick, there is no, ‘How is it going to work?’ ” Beckham told Newton during a roundtable posted to his YouTube channel. “For me, all he wants to do is to put you in a place to succeed, and I’m happy to see it.”

Mac Jones Loves The Idea Of Bringing In Odell Beckham

Now as for Mac Jones questions are will it slow down his development bringing in this type of receiver. The answer is it could be because Beckham could be forcing Jones to feed him the ball when he likes to spread it around. Or it could speed up the development because Beckham will try hard for Belichick because this is a place where he wants to be and Jones can feed off Beckham’s ability. The Patriots are 5-4 and have been slow offensively these last couple of weeks. It’s going to happen from time to time.

Jones said this today at his press conference about Odell Beckham

“He’s a great player. He has a choice to make. That’s up to him,” Jones said. “We have really good receivers here, and anybody who wants to help us win is obviously a benefit to the team. I obviously will leave that up to coach Belichick. You can ask him about it. I know for a fact that he always wants people who will come here and help us win.”

We will have to wait a few more days for Beckham to make a final decision as to which team he will go to. The Patriots are pushing hard for him to come and possibly play his former team the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
