The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will lose to USC and Caleb Williams. I say this despite my deep disdain for the Trojans. It pains me to say the reality of the early season victories was washed away after getting pounded by the Louisville Cardinals. Notre Dame flat-out sucked in Louisville, and we saw no consequential comeback as they had the week before against Duke.
So my “Brother In Anger” George Lopez, enjoy the beating your Trojans will hand my Fighting Irish on Saturday night.
Enjoy beating Notre Dame yet again the Notre Dame Fighting Irish have zero faith in the wide receivers on the roster. There’s only one way the Notre Dame Fighting Irish hope to beat USC. That’s getting turnovers against Caleb Williams and running the football down their throats.
I simply don’t see that happening against the Trojans. Not after the terrible coaching decisions we witnessed Saturday night in Louisville. When you are facing 9 men in a box and still try to run the football you’re playing the wrong game. When you also attempt a fancy play and it fails miserably as in a fumble you’re coaching the wrong way.
Sam Hartman is glad to never have to play another down of football at L&N Stadium in Louisville either. Hartman saw his interceptions streak end and it was all downhill from there for the Fighting Irish. After his beatdown the year prior against the Cardinals when he played for Wake Forest he was under the gun all night from pressure thanks to Ron Edwards defense.
The Notre Dame offensive line never had a chance when being outgunned all night long by 8 and 9 nine men in the box and Gerard Parker was outclassed as an offensive coordinator yet again. If I trusted Parker I could give the Fighting Irish a chance to beat USC because the Trojans’ defense as we witnessed against Arizona and Colorado absolutely sucks!!!
However, when you have an offensive coordinator who doesn’t his young wide receivers at all you are asking for trouble as we witnessed against the Louisville Cardinals.
Marcus Freeman, you are still learning how to win and I get that. But when you don’t do the easiest things possible and it’s happened in three straight games now you need to sit down with the new offensive coordinator and get his head into the game.
So George Lopez enjoy watching the USC Trojans defeat the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 45 to 24 is my prediction.
