It’s Week 2 of the NFL season and we’re back with what we hope are surefire bets. This week’s “Spread Bets” are courtesy of the good folks over at BetUS. Last week. I must admit that things didn’t quite go our way as a few upsets occurred. However, a new week brings a chance to get some of that money back we may have lost. No Bye Weeks in Week 2 so that means that every Team is on slate.
There are some great matchups such as the Detroit Lions taking on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Miami Dolphins doing battle against the Buffalo Bills. There are also a few that could turn into an upset. As always, have fun and bet responsibly. For all BetUS picks, head on over and use “TEAMNBS” as your promo code for a 125% bonus.
Miami Dolphins (-1) vs Buffalo Bills (+1)
Division matchups are always hard to predict. The Dolphins are explosive on the offense end while the Bills have the defense that can contain them. However, I would take the Dolphins spread on this one.
Las Vegas Raiders (+9.5) vs Baltimore Ravens (-9.5)
The Raiders will struggle with Gardner Minshew under center and the bad news for them is that they have no hope behind him. The Ravens showed in Week 1 that they are a team to be taken seriously. This is the game where the Ravens offense clicks on all cylinders and covers the spread.
Cleveland Browns (+3.5) vs Jacksonville Jaguars (-3.5)
Hmmm, which direction do we go here? The Browns looked horrible against the Cowboys. Deshaun Watson played like a rookie and the defense never found its footing. The Jags are not a powerhouse but they are 3 points better than the Browns at this point.
New York Jets (-4) vs Tennessee Titans (+4)
Aaron Rodgers did not play like a former MVP against San Fran but then again, what QB does? The Titans are not where they want to be and that will serve the Jets well. Jets cover the spread here.
San Francisco 49ers (-5.5) vs Minnesota Vikings (+5.5)
The 49ers are not the Giants and Brock Purdy is for damn sure not Daniel Jones. The Vikings have weapons but not enough to topple the Niners and their defense. San Fran covers the spread here.
Los Angeles Chargers (-6.5) vs Carolina Panthers (+6.5)
A new coach in LA hopefully means more wins. Justin Herbert has the arm, he just needs the weapons. Going against the Panthers, the Chargers’ offense and defense should have a huge day. Chargers hit the spread here.
Seattle Seahawks (-3) vs New England Patriots (+3)
Geno was running like he was 23 years old in Week 1. Does he have more magic left? The Pats pulled off the big upset of Week 1, can they do it again? Nope. The Seahawks cover the spread here.
New Orleans Saints (+6.5) vs Dallas Cowboys (-6.5)
Derek Carr has found his arm again. The Saints defense ate against the Panthers last week. The Cowboys played as if their season was on the line and blasted the Browns. Can they get to Carr? Yes. Cowboys cover the spread here.
New York Giants (+2.5) vs Washington Commanders (-2.5)
Division games are always hard no matter the records. But the Giants have the look of a team set to struggle all season. The Commanders have new life with a rookie QB. The Commanders make the spread here.
Lions (-7) vs Buccaneers (+7)
This should be one of the best games in Week 2. The Lions are fresh off an OT win and the Bucs offense is rolling. The Buccaneers cover the spread as the underdog.
Indianapolis Colts (-3) vs Green Bay Packers (+3)
Jordan Love appears to be out. But that doesn’t mean the Colts can expect an easy win. Malik Willis wants to prove he belongs, however, Anthony Richardson and Co. are too much for them to handle. Colts cover here.
Los Angeles Rams (-1) vs Arizona Cardinals (+1)
The Rams lost a heartbreaker and will look to bounce back against the upstart Cardinals. Can Kyler Murray and Marvin Harrison Jr find a groove in Week 2? The Rams are too strong. Rams cover the spread here
Steelers (-3) vs Broncos (+3)
The media says Justin Fields should be the starter. This Broncos defense is not one to sleep on no matter who is under center for the Steelers. Bo Nix showed grit last week but the Steelers will cover the spread here.
Cincinnati Bengals (+6.5) vs Kansas City Chiefs (-6.5)
The Bengals will be out for blood after laying an embarrassing egg against the Patriots in week 1. The Chiefs continue their drive for a three-peat while covering the spread this week.
Chicago Bears (+6.5) vs Houston Texans (-6.5)
Two teams with huge expectations and young QBs. Both teams are coming off impressive wins. The Texans have the right mixture to pull this one out and barely cover the spread, but they will.
Atlanta Falcons (+6.5) vs Philadelphia Eagles (-6.5)
Will the real Kirk Cousins please step up. The Falcons need that Million Dollar arm. The Eagles are back from Brazil with their high-potent offense and ready for a game on US soil. The Eagles cover the spread here.
