NFL Week 18 Preview

By: Christopher Jordan

We have finally got to week 18 of the NFL. It’s been a great regular season and it’s been so many storylines happening with so many teams and players. With it being the last week before the playoffs most teams have already clinched a spot in the playoffs and some teams are fighting for a final playoff spot. We will find out who’s going to be playing each other on wild card week. So, get your popcorn and drink ready.

Chiefs @ Broncos

Saturday, 4:30 p.m., ESPN

The Kansas City Chiefs are coming off a tough loss against the Cincinnati Bengals. With the loss the Chiefs are now the number two seed in the AFC. Kansas City is trying to end the season with a win going into the playoffs. The Chiefs are also hoping for a Titans loss because if the Titans lose, they will be number one seed going into the playoffs. On the other hand, the Broncos are really not playing for much but any win against Kansas City will be a great win.

Chiefs win 38-6

Cowboys @ Eagles

Saturday, 8:15 p.m., ESPN

The Cowboys and the Eagles will be battling it out this Saturday in the city of brotherly love. Both teams have clinched a spot in the playoffs so there’s a possibility that some players may not play the entire game but at the same time, we still may get a great divisional game between the two rivals.

Eagles win 26-23

Steelers @ Ravens

Sunday, 1:00 p.m., CBS

The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off an emotional win in Ben Roethlisberger’s last home game at Heinz Field. They have given themselves a chance to make the playoffs with a win versus their rival the Baltimore Ravens. Unlike the Steelers, the Baltimore Ravens won’t be playing for a playoff spot but they can spoil the Steelers and be the reason why they don’t make the playoffs.

Steelers win 24-22

Bengals @ Browns

Sunday, 1:00 p.m., FOX

The Cincinnati Bengals have put themselves in a position where they are a playoff team and they’re a team that has put the league on notice. The Bengals are facing division rival Cleveland Browns and they would love to go in the playoffs with a win. Although the Bengals are going to the playoffs the Browns came into the season with championship aspirations, but they had a rough season, and they will not be going into the playoffs.

Bengals win 35-20

Washington Football Team @ Giants

Both the Washington Football team and the Giants will both be playing their last game this season on Sunday. Which team will end their season with a win?

Washington football team wins 24-21

Bears @ Vikings

Sunday, 1:00 p.m., FOX

The Bears and the Vikings are divisional rivals battling it out in the last week of the NFL season. Both ball clubs will not make the playoffs, but it should be a fun divisional game.

Vikings win 23-17

Titans @ Texans

Sunday, 1:00 p.m., CBS

The Tennessee Titans have the opportunity to secure the number one seed in the AFC and have home field throughout the playoffs with a win over the Houston Texans. If the Titans lose and if the Chiefs win Kansas City will have home field in the AFC. Will the Titans secure the number seed, or will the Texans pull off the upset?

Titans win 35-10

Colts @ Jaguars

Sunday, 1:00 p.m., CBS

The Colts are fighting for a playoff spot as they head to Jacksonville this Sunday. The Colts need a win to get in the playoffs. There’s a lot at stake in this game for the Colts ball club. The Jags haven’t been very good, but they would love to beat the Colts and spoil their playoff chances.

Colts win 29-13

Packers @ Lions

Sunday, 1:00 p.m., FOX

The Green Bay Packers have clinched the top seed in the NFC, and they will have home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. If the Packers lose against the Lions, it still wouldn’t matter because they’ve done what they needed to do. Jordan Love will have the start this Sunday against a team that hasn’t been that good.

Packers win 16-10

Jets @ Bills

Sunday, 4:25 p.m., CBS

The Bills have been playing some really good football at the right time and they have a good chance at making a deep playoff run. The Bills are also playing for the AFC East title because the Bills and the Patriots have the same record. Will the Bills handle their business at the Jets?

Bills win 36-24

Saints @ Falcons

Sunday, 4:25 p.m., FOX

The New Orleans Saints are (8-8) as they have an opportunity to make the playoffs with a win at Atlanta. The Saints have been an up & down team all season, but they are a dangerous team if they get in the playoffs because they have a great defense and Sean Payton lead coach team. All the pressure is on the Saints because it’s a must-win and Atlanta has nothing to lose.

Falcons win 27-17

Panthers @ Buccaneers

Sunday, 4: 25 p.m., CBS

The Buccaneers have a chance to get the number two seed in the NFC with a win and a Rams loss. The Bucs have been depleted with some key players because of injuries. Going into the playoffs the defending champion Buccaneers are a team looking to make another Super Bowl run and the step will be getting a win at home against the Panthers.

Buccaneers win 32-16

49ers @ Rams

4:25 p.m., FOX

The 49ers and the Rams will be one of the biggest games happening this Sunday. The 49ers are the only team that hasn’t clinched a playoff spot in the NFC, and they need a win playing against their division rival Los Angeles Rams. On the other hand, the Rams have already clinched a playoff spot, but they still are fighting with the Buccaneers for the second seed in the NFC. San Francisco beat up the Rams in the first meeting (31-10) so the Rams are looking for some payback and would love to be the reason why their division rival 49ers won’t make the playoffs. Will the 49ers make the playoffs, or will the Rams get the last laugh and beat the 49ers?

Rams win 31-29

Patriots @ Dolphins

4:25 p.m., CBS

The New England Patriots are heading into South Florida and face the Miami Dolphins. The Patriots are competing with the Bills for the AFC East crown. Unlike the Patriots, the Dolphins will not be in the playoffs, but they would love to beat the Patriots and sweep the season series against New England.

Patriots win 33-24

Seahawks @ Cardinals

4:25 p.m., FOX

The Cardinals are coming off a big win against the Dallas Cowboys and ended their three-game losing streak. Arizona is playing division rival Seattle Seahawks before heading into the playoffs so they would love to win and go into the playoffs with some momentum. On the other hand, the Seattle Seahawks have had a rough season this year and they’re not going to the playoffs. However, they would still love to end their season on a good note.

Cardinals win 33-27

Chargers @ Raiders

8:20 p.m., NBC

The Chargers and Raiders will be the biggest game heading into week 18 of the season because both teams are playing for a playoff berth. Both ball clubs have had an up & down season all year so there’s a lot at stake in this game. Justin Herbert and Derek Carr will be putting everything on the line in this game. It’s win or go home and the best team on Sunday night will win.

Chargers win 36-34
