Like most American’s, NBA Teams are trying not to get COVID-19. At least 24 games have been postponed or cancelled so far because of the pandemic.
1) Los Angeles Lakers:
Los Angles has looked bored at times during the season. They appear to have a regular season malaise. With all that said, they still have the best record in the Western Conference. LeBron James continues to defeat father-time. He is averaging 25.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 7.2 assists per game. Anthony Davis is scoring 22 points per game and Caldwell-Pope is shooting 47.8% from three point range. When this team is motivated they are the best team in the NBA.
2) Philadelphia 76ers:
Doc Rivers has this team playing hard, unselfish and very good basketball. Joel Embiid is already getting mentions for the Most Valuable Player Award. He is averaging 28.3 points and 11 rebounds per game. Tobias Harris and Seth Curry are averaging 35 points combined. Ben Simmons is averaging 8 rebounds and 8 assists per contest. This team is very long defensively and their team chemistry appears to be the best it has been since Simmons and Embiid came into the NBA.
3) Los Angeles Clippers:
The Clippers do not have the depth or bench scoring they had last season. Montrezl Harrell is now with the Lakers and Lou Williams is averaging 9 points per game. Kahwi Leonard and Paul George are a formidable duo. They are averaging 50 points 12 rebounds and 11 assists per game combined. This team will finish with 50 wins but their depth must improve for them to make a deep playoff run.
4) Brooklyn Nets:
The Nets have the greatest trio of scorers, on one team, in the history of the NBA.
Kevin Durant: 29.5 points and 5.2 assists per game.
Kyrie Irving: 27.5 points and 5.7 assists per game.
James Harden: 23.5 points and 11.8 assists per game.
This team struggles defensively but they can score 120 points per night. No team wants to face that offense in the post-season.
5) Utah Jazz:
The Jazz are built for the regular season. They are well coached and have 8 players contributing every night. Donovan Mitchell is averaging 23.8 points per game. Jordan Clarkson is their No.2 scorer averaging 17 points per contest. This team will not make a deep playoff run without another legitimate scorer.
