Las Vegas, NV – With the Daytona 500 race finally behind set in stone. NASCAR takes it show out west to sin city Las Vegas. Rain over the weekend has hampered many events this weekend including canceling the Xfinity race last night and qualifying which the drivers will sort by owner’s points. Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, and Christopher Bell will start from the rear after infractions in the qualifying inspection. Now let’s get into this week’s picks.
Outright Winners Odds via 5dimes
Jimmie Johnson (+4400) – Johnson leads all drivers with 4 Active wins at Las Vegas. He was also 2nd in the 2nd practice run before rain canceled the event. At those odds, I am betting Johnson until he gets a race victory this season.
Kyle Larson (+1100) – Has 4 top 10 finishes in the last 5 races at Las Vegas including 2 2nd place finishes.
Brad Keselowski (+1100) – Has top 10 finishes in the last 9 races at Las Vegas including 3 wins.
Ross Chastain (+22000) – Could Chastain do it? Hop in the #6 and win it for Ryan Newman who was released from the hospital this week after a horrible wreck in Daytona? The odds are certainly stacked against him but he will be using better race cars and equipment. He knows this track very well because he won the Las Vegas Xfinity last year. He is worth a long-shot bet but don’t put the house on him just some pizza money for fun.
Only one @NASCAR_Xfinity Series practice today and Chastain finishes the one hour and 20 minute session at the top of the board! #LeadingTheField | #TripleDuty -PR pic.twitter.com/GUPVdsI0w8

Matchups via 5dimes
Jimmie Johnson (+100) vs Kurt Busch – Johnson leads all active drivers with 4 total wins at Las Vegas. Kurt Busch, on the other hand, has finished 21st or worse in 4 of the last 5 races at Las Vegas and has 0 wins in the last 20 races at Las Vegas. It’s a track that Busch has not done very well at.
Ryan Blaney (+130) vs Denny Hamlin – Blaney has finished 5th in the last 3 of 4 races at Las Vegas. While Hamlin has 0 wins in 16 cup races at Las Vegas. Also, Hamlin has finished 10th or worse in the last 4 races at Las Vegas. A perfect fade spot against Hamlin who won Daytona last Monday.
Kyle Larson (-115) vs Denny Hamlin – (See Above)
