On April 7th, 2024, Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville following a party atop a six-story bar. Fans and on-lookers were left baffled and curious about the details of what happened. So let me fill you in.
Morgan Wallen, born in 1993, is a country music artist known for his breakout success. has faced both acclaim and controversy during his career. Wallen first competed on season six of The Voice on both Ushers’ and Adam Levine’s teams.
After he left The Voice, he went out on his own. Releasing his debut album “If I Know Me” in 2018 and his second album “Dangerous: The Double Album” in 2021. In February of 2021, this became the only country album to spend 10 weeks sitting at number one in sixty-four years. His third album, “One Thing At A Time,” debuted in 2023, breaking more records for most songs by one artist on the charts at one time.
Despite his musical talents, Wallen has made headlines for various reasons, including his public use of a racial slur in 2021. This time he was arrested on three counts of reckless endangerment and one count of disorderly conduct. He had a bail of $15,250 dollars, which was posted within hours of his arrest.
Are you curious as to what he did? Well, Wallen was arrested after allegedly throwing a chair from Chiefs, a six-story bar on Broadway in downtown Nashville. Supposedly, Wallen was in attendance at the bar’s grand opening, which is owned by a friend of his and a fellow country star. This incident was caught on security footage, and to make the incident a little more chaotic, when the chair fell, it fell dangerously close to two Nashville police officers.
Wallen has since issued apologies to the bar, the Nashville Police Department, his family, and fans. In which, he states his regret and his high level of respect for law enforcement.
News of his arrest sparked mixed reactions amongst his fans and the public. Some are concerned for Wallens’ well-being, while others have opinions that are less nice. Wallen did make his performance at Stagecoach, so clearly, he has made some kind of amends. No new information about what will come of this has been released.
Needless to say, this arrest shocked a lot of people and has stirred up many speculations. As details continue to emerge surrounding the legal proceedings, the incident will serve as another chapter in Wallen’s complex journey in the public eye. Will this incident come back to haunt him? Only time will tell. Let’s all wish him the best.
Until next time, friends!
