Mac Jones Is Working With Teammates

How many times does it need to be reported that Mac Jones is at Gillette Stadium daily working with teammates before people stop questioning it? It’s been reported numerous times that Mac has been in the building throwing with receivers on the daily getting ready for the 2023 season. However, because of the drama between Belichick and Mac people seem to overlook it and not talk about it or turn it into a negative. What would those people want Mac to do? Be away from the stadium or in another state working on getting ready for the season like Kendrick Bourne is?

Mac Jones Is Getting Ready For The 2023 Season

It’s crazy that the media is all about Mac Jones not buying in but they won’t mention that Mac didn’t attend Kendrick Bourne’s wedding in Seattle. If he did I’m sure the media would be all over, it saying he’s not getting ready for the season and doing what Jarrett Stidham did. Stidham went to a Wedding in Texas that Belichick wasn’t too happy about during the 2020 offseason. Sports radio was all over it. Nothing on Mac though just keep hating on him and bringing up Lamar Jackson rumors that will never happen.

I’m so glad Odell Beckham went to the Baltimore Ravens that means the Lamar Jackson rumors can go away. Odell going to the Ravens confirms Lamar is the quarterback for the Ravens in 2023 and Mac Jones is the quarterback for the Patriots in 2023. I don’t care what Belichick says Robert Kraft the owner wants Mac Jones as the starter period. So does Bill O’Brien who runs the offense. Bailey Zappe who was at the Celtics game last week will be the backup.

If that were Mac Jones sitting courtside at the Celtics game last week sports radio would be all over it saying he’s not getting ready for the season. However, because it was Zappe, I haven’t heard a single word about it.

There Are People At Gillette That Don’t Like The Narrative Surrounding Mac Jones

Another thing nobody is talking about is the Phil Perry report from NBC Sports Boston that people around the building aren’t happy with the Mac Jones trade talk. And Mac seeking help outside the building.

“Folks in the building understand he was in an adverse situation, and that is putting it gently,” Perry said. “It’s really difficult to hold it against him that he tried to fix it on his own. This is how people view this: Mac Jones felt as though he had exhausted all options available to him in the building, so he went out and pursued improvement elsewhere. And he might be punished because of that? He might be traded because of that? That’s him writing his own ticket out of town?

“There’s an absurdity to all of this that is not lost on Patriots employees.”

“I’ve spoken to players who are not happy that this is in the news, that the Patriots and their potential interest in trading Mac Jones is out there in the public sphere,” Perry added. “They aren’t happy on Mac’s behalf; they aren’t happy, period, on their own behalves. They’re not happy that 2022 is bleeding into 2023.”

Mac Jones Has Been Working With Teammates

The message to Mac Jones is to ignore the noise. He was seen working with Bailey Zappe and teammates today in Walpole. That doesn’t sound like a guy stomping his feet and requesting a trade to me. That sounds like a player who is trying to be a leader and proving people wrong including Belichick he got dealt a bad hand last year with the coaching.

Anything you hear on sports radio that Mac isn’t buying into this season is wrong. He wants to win and be coached hard. Bill O’Brien will provide that and you will see results.
