Mac Jones can’t be saved if he’s the quarterback of the Patriots. The only way Mac Jones could see some potential to be a good quarterback is with a good team with a young offensive coach like Mike McDaniel. Bill Belichick and the Patriots have broken Mac Jones so much that mentally he’s cooked. His two receivers on Sunday in Germany were washed-up JuJu Smith-Schuster and Demario Douglas. Kendrick Bourne is done for the year, DeVante Parker was out, Tyquan Thorton got zero snaps, and Kayshon Boutte had one catch. The only good thing about the offense was the run game. Trent Brown is probably done for the year too and Mac I think purposely throws interceptions to prove a point that Belichick didn’t do enough on that side of the ball.
Mac Jones Is A Broken Quarterback On The Patriots
Mac Jones can’t lift everyone around him like Brady could. I’ve been saying over and over again like a broken record he doesn’t have what Tua has. Instead of trying to make the best of what he’s got which is nothing his bad decisions with the football are because Belichick has messed with his head. Mac is trying to expose Belichick that he didn’t do enough around him when he threw that interception late in the game with a chance to take the lead. He won’t say that publicly but I bet you the Mac side blames Belichick for the way Mac is. Here is a question and answer from after the game on Sunday
That answer to that question tells me Mac is telling people that Belichick screwed up his development and probably has PTSD from last season. I’m telling you what Mac sees and his side solely blames Belichick for his development. Which has caused this significant regression of Mac Jones for the second straight season. Even with O’Brien as the offensive coordinator, they don’t have the talent around Mac to run the offense well. Mac Jones will not succeed with the Patriots I think with or without Belichick at this point.
Mac needs a fresh start somewhere else where the coach is going to put the pieces around him to succeed. Bill Belichick has failed him and destroyed his mental state when it comes to the game. Mac’s best friend Hunter Henry had this to say when asked why Mac was benched.
I don’t make all those decisions. I think you’ll have to ask Coach [Belichick] about that one.
Pulling Mac Jones probably doesn’t sit well with Henry or the other Mac supporters on the team. When your top two receivers are Smith-Schuster and a sixth-round pick Mac is going to expose it by turning the ball over which is what he did and will continue to do.
