Last week’s win over West Virginia was NOT pretty but it was just that a WIN. Now the Penn State Nittany Lions have Delaware coming to town and some things to clean up from last week’s contest. Did we find a kicker yet? The Penn State defense has a bunch of guys who can make plays and if Drew Allar tops last week he will be the subject of my next article for sure. So who are my standout players for the game and why? Let’s get cracking with it.

1. Kaytron Allen – Running Back
He had a so/so performance last week and with Coach James Franklin bringing up how “blessed” Penn State is to have him on the roster that could equal more carries. Last week we saw a few runs that could have been big runs which can preview more to come. Delaware isn’t the biggest upfront and that 3-man line is in for a long day. And it’s football 101 the run game opens up the pass game so why not?
2. Chop Robinson – Edge Rusher
His post-game comments expressed how he was not happy about how he played and that is bad news for Ryan O’Connor and the Hens O-Line. His ability to push the pocket back plus being pissed off are things I love to see and opponents should fear. He won’t play all game but will look to make plays early and set the tone
3. Alex Felkins vs. Sander Sahaydak – Kickers
These two had a rough week with the memes and funny tweets being thrown around all over social media. But, all jokes aside this is the Big Ten and it is only a matter of time until a game comes down to a big-time pressure kick, and who is up for it? Felkins did the job when called upon but Coach Franklin has said this is an ongoing battle between the two. Sahaydak missed two kicks and now has to wait for a Felkin mistake perhaps to get another shot at the job. Can’t see too many 3 and outs coming but extra points are no gimmes so we will wait and see.
Will Penn State Beat Delaware
Conclusion
This should be over by halftime and we will get a chance to see some backups hit the field and get much-needed experience and tape for coaches to use to adjust the depth chart. Fans at Beaver Stadium can make post-game plans early. I see Penn State rolling to a 55-3 victory and moving to 2-0.
