The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Miami Heat Sunday night, 106-93, to win the 2020 NBA Championship in 6 games. With 5 different coaches, LeBron James has been to 10 NBA finals, won 4 rings and captured 4 Finals MVP Awards.
LeBron has made 10 NBA finals with 5 different coaches. That is a record that will never be duplicated or broken. His 4th title could have been the hardest championship to win. The NBA bubble had its challenges. Veteran teams like the Houston Rockets, Milwaukee Bucks, and LA Clippers imploded while the Lakers thrived. Part of that had to do with the leadership, mental toughness, and focus of their coaches and LeBron James. In Game 6, James had his 11th triple double in an NBA final.
For his career, The King has never missed a playoff game. His playoffs per game averages are career games for most NBA players.
Playoff average:
28.9 points, 8.9 rebounds, 7.1 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1 block per game.
This season… in his 17th year:
27.6 points, 10.6 rebounds, 8.7 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1 block per game.
The so called, “Haters” will argue that LeBron only has 4 NBA Championships and lost in the Finals 6 times.
- Robert Horry has 7 NBA rings, was he better than Charles Barkley?
- Steve Kerr has 5 NBA rings, was he better than Isaiah Thomas?
- Horace Grant has 4 NBA rings, was he better than Karl Malone?
Jerry West, the NBA logo, had a career record of 1-8 in NBA finals.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. There is no scientific data to prove who is the greatest player of all-time. For my money, in my humble opinion, LeBron James is the most complete and greatest player to ever walk on to the court. Case closed.
