Hey, Jonathan Majors. They say if you can make it in New York City or Los Angeles, you can make it anywhere. Why that may be true, what goes on in Hollywood is an entirely different story in itself. Acting is a tough career to be in. One minute you’re riding high then the next, you’re searching for your next paycheck. For Majors, this is his moment to shine and at least for the next 5 years, he will become the face that everyone recognizes across the small and big screen.
Becoming the new “it” guy in Hollywood is no small feat, especially when you’re black. However, Jonathan Majors is set to become just that. He still has a ways to go to top actors such as Denzel Washington and Will Smith but what’s planned for this man, could very well place him as the one to carry the torch.
Further Proof Why Jonathan Majors Is Set To Blow?
He’s set to play African-American fighter pilot Jesse Brown in Devotion which releases over the Thanksgiving Holiday (2022). From there, he will take on the role of Damian Anderson in Creed 3 (2023) opposite Michael B Jordan as Adonis Creed’s new nemesis. Those two films alone will catapult him to new heights. But that’s not even the best news for the Hollywood newcomer.
Here are 3 letters that will make him a household name starting in 2023 if he’s not already one now. Welcome to the MCU Jonathan Majors aka Kang The Conqueror.
In 2022, Majors appeared in the MCU as Kang with his appearance in Loki on Disney+. From what we understand, Kang is more sinister and deadly than Thanos. What makes this such an important role for Majors is that he’s set to get more screen time than Josh Brolin did as Thanos.
With Disney+ shows now being set in the same timeline as the movies, this gives Majors more time to showcase his skills. Think of the last Marvel villains and where they have stood in terms of fans. Look at what Brolin did with Thanos. Marvel fans wanted more even after his death in Avengers: Endgame. The same goes for Jordan and his portrayal of Killmonger in Black Panther. With Kang, this is the villain comic fans have been waiting for.
With Marvel set to roll out individual movies as well as 2 Avengers films in 2025 and 2026, there is a good chance that Majors could play Kang in both films. The year is now 2022 and that sets him up for quite a run in the next 4-5 years. Even with a hectic schedule, Jonathan Majors may not be done.
According to IMDb, he’s set to star in at least 3 other films over the next 2-3 years outside of the MCU titled 48 Hours in Vegas, The Man In My Basement, and Magazine Dreams. With all this going on, how can anyone deny the stardom that Majors is heading towards?
It will take a while to hit the legendary status of Washington and Smith but Jonathan Majors is on his way.
