The media was supposed to attend practice today but a report came out yesterday that today’s practice had been cancelled. Everyone was speculating why Bill Belichick would do that. Was he trying to play games with the media? What was Belichick trying to gain? Turns out nothing Belichick didn’t cancel the practice the league did and one for next week.
The New England Patriots have violated league rules and guess who is the culprit? Hardo Joe Judge. Judge, who is back with the special teams after running Mac Jones in his second season being his quarterback coach, held meetings with the special teams that kept players there longer than four hours. In this portion of OTA’s the league minimum is 3 hours. However, Joe Judge held workshops on special teams that went over that.
Joe Judge Drama Is Leaking Into 2023
Why is Judge still here? Because he’s getting paid by the Giants and Bill loves free coaches. After Matt Patricia ruined the offense last year his contract was up with the Lions so Bill had zero use for him. Now Patricia is on the Eagles to ruin that organization. For Judge, because he’s free for Bill he can go back to coaching the special teams and violate league rules. Now that just cost Belichick $50,000. The joke is on him for allowing Judge to stay and not letting him go with Patricia.
NFL Official in the Building Caught Joe Judge Having These Meetings
A league official was in the building those three days in May when Joe Judge was having meetings. Bill Belichick sent an email in April to every assistant explaining the rules to not schedule meetings that go beyond the four hours requirement. Of course, Joe Judge didn’t listen and did whatever he wanted.
Joe Judge Couldn’t Command A Room Last Season
It was reported that during last season Judge would hold meetings and like to command the room. That worked wonders as the offense was a clown show and people were chanting for a fourth-round backup. It was also reported that Judge during practice would tell different position groups on offense to do something one way, and then the position coaches would go over to the player and tell the player to ignore what he just said that isn’t the right way to do it.
2022 shouldn’t be carrying over to 2023 but it is. It only is because Belichick allows this awful coach to still be with the organization. Hopefully, this doesn’t get in the way of the offense learning a new playbook. The chemistry seems to be there though and everyone is on the same page.
What hasn’t been reported is that JuJu Smith-Schuster isn’t at OTA’s he is on vacation in Hawaii. Imagine if that was Mac Jones sports radio wouldn’t shut up about it.
It’s not even Memorial Day yet and already Joe Judge is messing it up. Nice assistant head coach you got their Bill. When is his contract up with the Giants so you can ship him to Philly and ruin that team with buddy Patricia?
The Patriots weren’t in violation for having padded practice in May or anything like that. The violation was for some special teams’ workshop a position nobody cares about run by hardo Joe Judge. Pathetic.
