Mo Salah is having a season that will go down, which may be the best season for any Liverpool Reds player, anyone playing football in the Premier League, and anyone in the football world. His football level has been astronomical this season. Now, for these longtime Reds fans to say that, it means Sir Kenneth Dalgleish and Ian Rush’s seasons before the Premier League go downwards in my eyes, so this season put on display by Mo Salah must have been an excellent one.
LIVERPOOL WILL WIN THE EPL TITLE
The Liverpool Reds will celebrate their second English Premier League title for the second time since the EPL was created in 1992. It was the first time the world dealt with COVID-19, and there were no fans inside Anfield Stadium when the Reds won in 2020. With a 13-point lead over Arsenal and just ten games remaining this season, they might win the league by 20 points, which would be a new record. Remaining on their schedule is a match at Anfield against the Gunners three weeks before the EPL season ends. To destroy Arsenal at home and win the title in that game would be oh-so-sweet.
As you all know, I have been a fan of the Liverpool Reds since 1970. I certainly celebrated when they won the EPL title in 2020, but this time, I can celebrate with friends who also love the Liverpool Reds. We will sing “You’ll Never Walk Alone” loudly and proudly, as 95,000 Australians in 2013 did in the video below. This won’t happen to the Los Angeles Rams when they host the first NFL game at the same stadium in 2026.
MO SALAH’S 2024-2025 SEASON
The Egyptian right winger has had his best season since joining Liverpool in 2017. With ten games left, he has already tied Lionel Messi’s record of scoring a goal and assisting on a goal in eleven games, which Messi did in the 2015-2016 season with Barcelona. Please make no mistake in the history of football: I believe Messi is the best player I have ever watched, way better than Cristiano Ronaldo. This season, though, the way Arne Slot has used Salah has been masterful, and with the additions up front, minus Sadio Mane, Mo Salah has been so dominant.
In 39 matches in games played this season (Outside of the Premier League), he has scored 30 goals and assisted on 22 other goals. With Liverpool playing in the Champions League round 16, he will undoubtedly add more to those totals.
Ballon d’Or
The biggest prize in football is the winner of the Ballon d’Or; in English, it’s the Golden Boot winner.
Barring an incredible collapse, Liverpool is set to win a second-ever Premier League title this season under manager Arne Slot’s first campaign in charge.
While the Reds have excelled, Mohamed Salah has undoubtedly been the standout player, enjoying perhaps the finest season of his career at 32.
The Egyptian has already netted 30 goals in all competitions, including 25 in the Premier League. He has registered 22 assists—a combined total that makes him the most potent attacking threat in Europe’s top five leagues this season.
For years, Salah has delivered moments of brilliance week in and week out for Liverpool, yet he has often been overlooked for the Ballon d’Or. This season, however, his performances have been too good to ignore.
MO SALAH’S CONTRACT
Mohamad Salah is headed to free agency this off-season along with the best defender in the world, Virgil Van Dijk. Both players might end up costing Liverpool 400,000 pounds a week when to start this season, 350,000 pounds might have gotten the deals done. Whatever it costs the Reds, they will re-sign, and both deals will be worth every pound.
Just imagine how good Chelsea might have been had they held onto Salah when he was there in 2016-2017. Better yet, let’s not remember his Chelsea career. His days of ruining games for opponents have been great, and those fans at Anfield Road Stadium will remember the 2024-2025 season as one of the finest EPL seasons.
#YNWA #LFC fans enjoy this season. For every Liverpool Reds fan out there, if the Reds keep both players, they will destroy the Manchester United league title mark of 20 when they tie the mark this season. As long as they remain as healthy as they have been, they can easily win another two EPL titles.
