The 2023-24 NFL season will begin Thursday and this means the betting apps will be going wild. Fanduel is one of the most popular and while it’s not available in all states, those who can play will be looking to see if their picks can cover the spread. But will there be any upsets in Week 1?
NFL fans have waited months for this moment and with all the money being thrown away on MLB and now College Football, it’s a sigh of relief as NFL betting makes its way back to the betting scene. Fanduel has some of the best SGPs around, coupled with some awesome bonuses, this is the season bettors are sure to break the bank. Here are the Week 1 spreads courtesy of Fanduel.
Lions vs Chiefs (+6.5)
Time to start another title defense for the Chiefs. The Lions are expected to make the playoffs this season and the first game of the season will be an upset. Lions make sure the Chiefs don’t cover.
Eagles vs Patriots (-3.5)
The Eagles offense vs the Patriots defense should have the Eagles easily making this spread here.
Texans vs Ravens (-10)
The Texans will not be blanked but they don’t have enough firepower to keep up with the Ravens offense.
Bengals vs Browns (-2.5)
This should be a good one here. The Browns will put up a fight, but in the end, the Bengals are just too good and solid across the board to miss covering the spread here.
Buccaneers vs Vikings (-6.0)
The Vikings, despite losing some key players on offense are still explosive on that side of the ball. They will cover the spread here.
Titans vs Saints (+3.0)
Did the Titans do enough to stay relevant this season? Their Big 3 will be enough to get past this Saints team and ruin the spread.

Panthers vs Falcons (+3.5)
The NFC South will be a close race. Despite the Panthers having a rookie QB, bettors should expect them to win this game.
Jaguars vs Colts (-4.5)
The Jaguars run the AFC North until someone stops them. It won’t be the Colts this week. The offense is too solid for them not to cover the spread here.
49ers vs Steelers (-2.5)
No idea why the spread here is what it is. There is no way the Steelers should be within 3 points of the stacked 49ers.
Cardinals vs Commanders (-7.0)
The Cardinals might be the first team to go 0-17. To have the Commanders just 7-point favorites seems a bit disrespectful to Washington. Either way, they will cover this easily.
Raiders vs Broncos (+4.0)
Can Sean Payton get the Broncos offense back on track? Opening the season with a division game is never easy. Raiders will get the upset here.
Dolphins vs Chargers (+3.0)
The Chargers are good but they are not 3 points better than a healthy Dolphins’ team. The Chargers will not cover the spread here.
Packers vs Bears (+1.0)
Is Jordan Love ready? Is Justin Fields ready? The Packers have the pieces and slightly more experience to pull off the win here and stop the Bears from covering the spread.
Rams vs Seahawks (-5.5)
Which Rams team are we going to see? With possibly no Cooper Kupp, the Seahawks are poised to cover the spread here.
Cowboys vs Giants (-3.5)
The NFC East is loaded. The Giants made a great run last season but the Cowboys are on a different level. Covering the spread here should be easy.
Bills vs Jets (+2.5)
Should be the Game of The Week. The Bills may not be as strong as they once were and the Jets are not the same ‘ole Jets. Jets pull out the win.
