Welcome BACK to the “Dream Chasers” interview series!! With 2025 coming to an end, it was only right that we end it with a bang and get to know a super talent whose name and story you should get to know as well. For some people, the fear of putting themselves out there lessens with age, but for most of us, that fear of looking stupid or failing in public never goes away. I would argue that the age of social media has made it even worse; few arenas put you front and center for hate and criticism like art. It takes a whole lot of technical skill and thick skin to dive in and put yourself out there. We take you to Australia and introduce you to an uber-talented young lady who is becoming a force in the art world. Anyone who is a Beyoncé fan like me is already a winner. Let’s get to know Danielle Weber!
Joe Cardoso: When did we first pick up a paintbrush? Was it love at first sight?
Danielle Weber: I first picked up a paintbrush at 8 years old. I used to watch videos on the VCR of an artist doing watercolor pieces and copying them!
JC: At what age did you discover that “creative gene”?
DW: I realized my creative side was there as early as 2 years old. Even then, I was drawn to colors, mud, sculpture, textures, and making little things with my hands.
JC: Who are some of the artists or people who supported you at the start of the journey?
DW: My family was my first and most important support system. They encouraged me, cheered me on, and gave me the confidence to explore my art.
JC: What are some of the things you did to improve your skills?
DW: Improving my skills has been a constant, hands-on process. Every spare moment I had, I spent painting, sketching, or experimenting with new mediums. I challenged myself to step out of my comfort zone, whether that meant trying a completely new style, working with materials I had never used before, or studying techniques from artists I admired. I also learned the importance of discipline, treating my practice like a job, showing up every day, and putting in the work even when it felt repetitive or frustrating. The key has always been a mix of curiosity, experimentation, and dedication.
JC: One piece of advice you would give to an up-and-coming artist?
DW: My advice is simple but powerful: keep moving forward, stay in your lane, and do not be afraid to reach out for opportunities. There will always be distractions, comparisons, and moments of self-doubt, but what matters is consistency and belief in your vision. Push yourself, take risks, and do not wait for validation from others because your art is your voice, and it is worth sharing. Every challenge or setback is a chance to grow. Resilience and drive are the most important traits in this industry.
JC: When not working, where can we find Danielle Weber?
DW: When I am not in the studio, I am usually out exploring life in some way. I love traveling to new places, soaking up inspiration from different cultures and landscapes, or spending a quiet day at the beach. Family time is sacred to me, so a lot of my downtime involves connecting with loved ones. Recently, I have been deeply immersed in renovating my home, which has become another creative outlet in its own right. Designing spaces, making them functional yet beautiful, and seeing a project come together is incredibly rewarding.
JC: How have you used social media to level up your content and get your name out there?
DW: Social media has been a total game-changer for me. It is literally the reason my art still exists in the public eye. It has given me a platform to share my work with a global audience, connect with other creatives, and build a community that inspires me as much as I inspire them. Beyond posting finished pieces, I use social media to show my process, document my journey, and engage with people who resonate with my work. The feedback, collaboration opportunities, and visibility it provides have been invaluable in growing my career and making an impact through my art.
JC: Before the end of 2025, one thing you MUST do is_____?
DW: Finish renovating my home. This project has been a huge creative and personal undertaking, and I am determined to see it through. Every corner of this space reflects my style, vision, and the lessons I have learned about patience and persistence. Completing it will not only give me a beautiful space to live and work in but also mark a milestone in my personal journey, reminding me of the balance between creation, growth, and life outside the studio.
If it’s grabbing a camera and hitting record for that podcast, or shooting that video you’ve been afraid of, just DO IT. People like Danielle give us that boost to take the leap and try something new and scary. I want to thank her for taking the time to speak with me and share her story. Make sure you follow her on socials to see what she’s working on and those BTS moments. Not just because it is the holidays, but because it’s the right thing to do, let’s all be a little kinder to each other. Until next time, keep hustling.
