This Dame Dash situation should be studied and taught at the highest level. Dame is making his rounds, blaming everyone except himself. And what’s sad is that people are actually looking at him and still pointing the finger elsewhere. Jay Z may have played a part in the infamous Roc-A-Fella breakup, but at what point is Dame Dash at fault for the financial situation that Dame is in?
According to Dame Dash, he’s the Boss of Bosses. When did we ever see Steve Jobs, Tyler Perry, Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, or any other Real Boss blame someone else for their failures? When Dame and Jay went their separate ways, Dame had a full bank account. What it comes down to is that he made the wrong business decisions while Jay made the right ones.
And now that he’s busted, he’s putting out in the atmosphere that those he helped or made famous should have been there to help him out. Maybe there is a reason that those people are not there to help him. A friend is a friend, and a brother is a brother. In the hood, the only way we don’t extend a hand is if we were done dirty in the come-up process.
Dame always gave off the impression he was a smart businessman, but as more of this goes on, we can see the truth. Jay said it best on ‘Lost Ones’.”Niggaz saying they made Hov, Made Hov say, Okay, so make another Hov.” At the end of the day, Jay was the talent, not Dame. Did he help Jay and Roc reach global status? Yes, he did, and walked away with millions for that.

It’s what transpired afterwards that has him in an uproar. He left the business situation with money; he just didn’t duplicate what he had with his former business partners.
Camron had former Roc-A-Fella artist Memphis Bleek on his show, and Cam asked Bleek when did the hate start? Bleek informed him that it was the moment Cam announced to the world that he was set to become the new VP of Roc-A-Fella Records. Cam stated that he may have jumped the gun in the announcement.
Well, Dame heard that and said that Cam was a reason why the label broke up because he spoke about a private conversation that was had. Hey Dame, even if Cam spoke prematurely about it, the fact that he still had that convo in private without your other business partners proves how grimey he is. And that is why Jay doesn’t fuck with you like that anymore. And also a reason why the industry turned its back on you.
What Dame is now learning is that no one owes you anything. He helped build an empire, and the empire split up. The other two did what they did what their portions and thrived, while he did the opposite. Neither Jay nor Biggs owes him anything, and for those that say how can they watch their man fall on hard times, well, when that same man walked around as if he was the boss of all bosses, this is what happens. He turned his back on them first and figured he would come out on top amongst the three of them.
What all this boils down to is one simple fact. Jay and Dame were business associates, which turned into a friendship, and then turned sour. People like to say that Jay turned his back on his friends, but where do you see that? Cause when you look at it, Jay has all his friends still in his circle in position. Bee-High, Ty-Ty, Bleek, Emory Jones, and Juan. These guys are still around. Those are his friends.

Cats like Beanie, Cam, Dame, and anyone signed to Roc-A-Fella were business associates. Jay knew how to separate personal from business, and that’s where a lot of people go wrong. Everyone can’t go with you. He helped provide a way for these guys to get money, but they also had to listen.
Dame Dash was a big reason for the success of the record label back then. Yes, he fought for his artists because he had what only a few other labels had. He had a face of Hip Hop with him. Birdman could cause trouble cause he had Lil Wayne. Dr. Dre could start shit cause he had Eminem and 50 Cent. The same could be said about Diddy at one time when he had Biggie. Well, Dame had Jay Z, so he showed his ass to everyone in the industry.
But when he and Jay split, those people he told to kiss his ass in those fiesty moments, well, they remembered that. Dame is not a rapper, and for him to make any moves in the industry, he would need those same people to help him. Jay didn’t need that; he was the talent. Dame Dash is feeling the fallout of no longer having a safety net. He did this to himself.
