Good luck to the Detroit Lions who visit the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday night. You see AT&T Stadium will be a bleak place to visit. Saturday night Jimmy Johnson the MAN who built the last three Super Bowl-winning Dallas Cowboys teams is FINALLY going into the Cowboys Ring Of Honor. Dallas Cowboys fans are finally seeing Jerry Jones do the right thing. I don’t care to debate the entire history of Jerry Jones and Jimmy Johnson I am going to discuss the NFC North division-winning Detroit Lions visit the Dallas Cowboys who are coming off two losses and must play much better than they did in Buffalo or Miami.
Dallas Cowboys Offense
Dear Coach Mike McCarthy sit this game out okay? Just hand the headset over to Jimmy Johnson and you’ll see firsthand why Johnson was such a great coach. Okay, I know that won’t happen. So instead of seeing greatness on the Dallas Cowboys sideline here I am stuck with you and your yet again piss poor red zone play calls. I also told the Dallas Cowboys all off-season they were making a mistake by signing Tony Pollard to the franchise tag. In my final mock draft, I had the Cowboys draft Chase Brown notice how well he’s doing for the Bengals. Instead, we get to see Tony Pollard struggle to be the number one RB for the Dallas Cowboys. That includes not being able to score the touchdown and get himself tackled short of going into the end zone.
Of course, Rayne Dakota Prescott also gave a very bad handoff to Hunter Luepke which ended the first drive of the game. 14 points were left on the field. You score those two plays and the Dallas Cowboys defeat the Miami Dolphins. Sure would have ended the talk that the Dallas Cowboys can’t win on the road against winning teams.
Secondly when Ceedee Lamb has four receptions for 93 yards and a TD in the first quarter why in the hell did he not see the ball in the second or third quarters? Please Coach McCarthy don’t let that happen again thank you. Ceedee Lamb was rightfully angry after the loss to the Dolphins.
Brian Branch and Aidan Hutchinson are both playing great on the Detroit Lions’ defense and the Dallas Cowboys offensive line must protect Dak Prescott from getting sacked by Hutchinson, Dak Prescott needs to be aware of where Branch is in the passing game on every down.
Dear Coach McCarthy don’t allow the Detroit Lions defense to determine this game. Time to show up Tyron Smith after you missed the game against the Dolphins. Time to put the Lions down early and often in this game. Play with the lead like you have all season long and force the Detroit Lions to pass the football.
Dallas Cowboys Defense
So coach Dan Quinn you went to a zone defense and handled Tyreek Hill. Yet again though the Dallas Cowboys defense wasn’t able to stop the Dolphins on the ground. Did you see the Raiders defense stop the Chiefs? Or any other great defense that won this past weekend? They stop the run by SETTING THE EDGE and that’s something that Demarcus Lawrence does play in and play out.
I know you’re playing the right defense to stop Tyreek Hill however when you allow the Dolphins to kick five field goals that’s still a loss in my opinion. The Dallas Cowboys yet again failed to cause any turnovers in a road game. That’s the reason why I have never liked the Dallas Cowboys’ chances of being a Super Bowl winner in the 2023 NFL season.
Now it’s time to ask the NFL officials this simple question. How does the league leader in quarterback pressures not have anyone who ever commits a HOLDING penalty? Thirty-seven quarters of football without a single holding call against Micah Parsons is a ridiculous statistic.
I could post videos of the numerous times when Micah Parsons has been held yet the penalty flags are kept in the referee’s pants. I understand how every play there’s a hold and most of the time most of them are let go. But when you lead the league in quarterback pressures and haven’t had a single call in this many games in a row is simply brutal.
Daron Bland needs to be ready to jump on a passing route by Jared Goff as well and the safeties need to play very well against Amon-Ra St.Brown and Sam Laporta who has destroyed teams with his tremendous pass catching.
Oh, and the Detroit Lions have two NFL running backs. David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs. Gibbs has been fantastic lately and if the Dallas Cowboys don’t figure out how to stop the running game the night the Dallas Cowboys honor Jimmy Johnson won’t be a good night.
My Prediction
Sorry to any fans of #OnePride but with Jimmy Johnson being honored and all the great Dallas Cowboys players being present to see him rightfully honored finally the Dallas Cowboys will be on the hunt. Of course, by that, I mean “The Lion Who Is Always Hungry” Micah Parsons is coming and he is going to be loaded for bear as the saying goes. When Cowboys Nation is going to be wild and loud. While the Lions have weapons that can certainly beat the Dallas Cowboys NOT this night. The Dallas Cowboys will finish the 2023 NFL regular season as an unbeaten team at AT&T Stadium.
Brandon Aubrey kicks the game-winning field goal and the Dallas Cowboys defeat the Detroit Lions by a score of 31-28. At the end of the game, we in Cowboys Nation will once again say this loudly and proudly HOW ABOUT THEM, COWBOYS??
