During the week of the deliberations for Karen Read, there were so many people present. Even early in the morning, crowds would gather on the sidewalk, waiting for Karen and her team to arrive at the courthouse. They also waited for Aidan Kearney (Turtleboy), the journalist who brought attention to the case and asked the tough questions. Without Aidan starting the Free Karen Read movement, Karen could have ended up in jail.

Crime Con Is Talking about Delphi and Idaho Murders Instead
The day before the verdict, I was told by sources that Aidan Kearney, Karen Read, and her attorneys were going to attend Crime Con the weekend of September 5-7. I got the impression that Crime Con was waiting to finalize things depending on whether she was acquitted or not.
I was told I could get a media credential to attend Crime Con and see Aidan, Karen, and her attorneys. Sources said that Crime Con would cover Aidan’s flight and hotel stay for that weekend.
However, I haven’t heard anything about the credential, and since I didn’t receive any updates last week, I assumed it wasn’t happening. With Crime Con just a month away, it seems like I should have heard something by now.
Week One of the NFL Season Falls on the Same Weekend as Crime Con
Additionally, the weekend falls on the first weekend of the NFL season, and the only reason I would miss the home opener would be to see Aidan Kearny with Karen Read and her attorneys. If neither Aidan nor Karen attends Crime Con, the event will lack the same attention it would have drawn from the Karen Read case, which was the most significant case in the country. Wouldn’t they want that?
According to Aidan, he didn’t learn that Crime Con wanted Karen and her attorneys until the day after Karen was acquitted. I had the impression the day before that it was a done deal for Aidan to attend alongside Karen and her attorneys, and they were merely waiting for the acquittal.
Crime Con Won’t Draw The Crowd, Not Talking The Karen Read case.
It seems like Crime Con is now heading in a different direction and will focus on the Delphi case. The Delphi case involves Richard Allen, who was found guilty of killing two women found in the woods in Indiana. That seems to be the main headline for Crime Con instead of the Karen Read case, which was the biggest story in the country. Aidan mentioned that Karen declined the invitation to attend, but he still could have gone.
Crime Con not Talking About The Murder of John O’Keeffe seemed Wrong
They are also talking about the Byran Kohberger case who admitted killing those four kids. The sicko is spending the rest of his life behind bars. Still not the biggest case in the Country. A dead police officer found on another police officer’s lawn and framing an innocent woman is the biggest.
In both of those cases it seems victims families are taking the stage and talking and bringing awareness. What about bringing awareness to Boston Police officer John O’Keeffe? Even if you couldn’t get anyone involved either the families of Read or Officer O’Keefe why not get anyone with the Boston Police Department? Or friends that knew John O’Keeffe? You’re just going to completely ignore it like it never happened? Bad look.
Crime Con easily could’ve had law tubers on a panel like Melanie Little, TurtleBoy, Nurse Kim, Lawyer You Know etc. something doesn’t add up here. How do you not talking about the most interesting case in the country?
If Crime Con wanted Karen Read to attend and nobody else, that should have been communicated more clearly by Crime Con. Aidan was told recently that he wouldn’t be attending because Karen wasn’t. Now, Crime Con will be discussing a cases that didn’t get the same attention. Kohberger was guilty from the get-go and people do think Richard Allen is innocent in the Delphi case. However, it didn’t gain the interest that Officer John O’Keeffe did.
The Crowd At Crime Con would be doubled if Aidan were going.
Does Crime Con realize the crowd Aidan would have drawn to this event? By not responding or keeping him informed, their lack of communication feels shady. They must understand they won’t draw half the crowd now that neither Aidan nor any part of the Karen Read case is attending.
Karen got away with murder. It’s the simple answer.
CrimeCon doesn’t need a bigger crowd it is already packed
