Summer is in its last few weeks and last-second vacations are all the rage. But for some of us sports fans we are excited about what’s next and that’s fall and college football Saturdays. I am here for all of it, tailgate food, drinks, and games, give me all the Pac-10 after-dark action. Every Saturday is full of storylines and upsets us fans spend the day talking smack with friends and on social media doing the same. One tradition that everyone does and then a week later we end up looking crazy is a preseason top 25, we haven’t seen a single game or practice but we just “know” who the best teams in the country are. So here it is college football junkies my top 25 who will be this year’s, Coastal Carolina? Is Texas REALLY back? Can Bama get back to the top? Was that as good as it gets for Michigan? Are we all sleeping on USC?
25. Texas
24. Air Force
23. TCU
22. Tennessee
21. USC
20. Iowa
19. Pitt
18. BYU

15. Arkansas
14. Wisconsin
13. Clemson
12. Oklahoma

I can’t wait to see the questions answered about all of these teams and also to see how right or wrong I am about my picks. One thing I do know is as much as the game changes the love for Saturdays in the fall never goes away. Each and every week Bill Carroll, Jeff Barnes, and I will argue it out and come up with our top 25 lists. Make sure to follow Nuts and Bolts Sports for season-long coverage. In the meantime enjoy the summer and get those hoodies and cornhole boards fired up and ready to go!
