The Truth About Colin Kaepernick.

George Floyd was murdered last week by 4 police officers in Minnesota. The 4 officers have now been charged with murder. Politicians and sports figures have weighed in on this heinous murder.
Since Kaepernick took a knee, years ago, players have been peacefully protesting police violence.
During a conversation with Yahoo Finance, Drew Brees made it clear he would not be in solidarity with those who choose to do so. “I will never agree with anybody disrespecting the flag of the United States of America or our country,” the Saints quarterback said.
Aaron Rodgers said, “It has never been about an Anthem or a flag. Not then. Not now.”
Lebron James also responded to the Saints quarterback’s ignorance.
“WOW MAN!!” James tweeted, with a facepalm emoji. “Is it still surprising at this point. Sure isn’t! You literally still do not understand why Kap was kneeling on one knee?? Has absolutely nothing to do with the disrespect of [the flag] and our soldiers (men and women) who keep our land free. My father-in-law was one of those men who fought as well for this country. I asked him question about it and thank him all the time for his commitment. He never found Kap peaceful protest offensive because he and I both know what’s right is right and what’s wrong is wrong!”
We hear Donald Trump use the term fake news when someone disagrees with him. Trump has lied over 17,000 times since 2016. He is the very definition of fake news. But, for 4 years now, we have been hearing how Kaepernick disrespected the flag. He never did that. He never disrespected the troops either. Retired Army Green Beret Nate Boyer is the man who first convinced Kaepernick to kneel during the national anthem. Boyer said, “Kaepernick kneeling is what I fought for, peaceful protesting.”
America was founded on protesting. The Boston Tea party was the first major protest and the very definition of looting and destroying property.
340 chests of British East India Company tea, weighing over 92,000 pounds (roughly 46 tons), onboard the Beaver, Dartmouth, and Eleanor were smashed open with axes and dumped into Boston Harbor the night of December 16, 1773. The damage the Sons of Liberty caused by destroying 340 chests of tea, in today’s money, was worth more than $1,700,000 dollars.
Kaepernick never destroyed property, he never cursed or fought his way to prove his point. All he did was kneel to try and bring about change, peacefully. We ask our athletes to be bigger than their sport. To be a role model and be the voice of our community. Kaepernick said.
I have to stand up for the people that are oppressed. If they take football away, my endorsements from me, I know that I stood up for what was right.
Colin had it all taken away from him to bring about change. If the NFL and the media listened to him, George Floyd might be still alive today.
If we don’t learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it. Four years later, innocent black men are still being murdered by racist, corrupt, cops. Kaepernick was right then, he is right now. The NFL, the Media and Trump were all wrong.
