Is it just me or is there a TON of choices today for us to watch? Between the streaming services and broadcast television you need a month to pick one and another month to watch them all. Tuesday night there is only one channel you should have on and that is CBS and the Dick Wolf-created FBI series if you haven’t been watching you need to get on it asap. Not trying to be trendy or sound cool but I am a lifelong fan of diversity and all 3 shows bring that to the table. Three different series with talented casts and storylines that are always with the times starting with the original series FBI which debuted in 2018 with mixed reviews it has found its foothold and created two more shows FBI Most Wanted and FBI International.
Why Watch?
Grabbing and keeping your attention is and always will be important for a show and all 3 do just that. You are lucky if you get 4 minutes into an episode without something jarring happening, and even though you know it’s coming it still gives you a jolt. And with these unfortunate events, you are drawn in quickly and want to know who and why. The cast is diverse and talented each with a unique story and style bringing something to the table and the overall feel of the episode. The OG show FBI starts with Agents Maggie Bell and Omar Adam “OA” Aidan and, my personal favorite is Special Agent in Charge Isobel Castille who makes the tough calls. Topics go from white-collar crimes to terrorism and everything under the sun. The writing for the show is VERY good and it is why you will come back week after week as well as fall in love with the cast.

The second show in the series is FBI Most Wanted and is quickly becoming my favorite in the series, something I didn’t think would happen. At the start, Jess LeCroix was the leader of the elite FBI fugitive task force. We saw his charter die and I thought it was the beginning of the end for the show. Wrong! Enter Dylan McDermott who plays Remy Scott who is a no-nonsense badass and flipped the whole vibe as well as the rest of the cast being able to shine and bring it all together. Each week they hunt the worst of the worst and try to balance life as well, this show has some wild episodes and I mean that in a good way. A common theme in all 3 shows and no different here is the writing and cast development.
The new kid on the block is FBI International which takes you on a weekly trip to Europe and the team that goes against threats against Americans overseas. This show is a good example of how if you give a show some time things can turn around pretty quickly, season 1 was so/so but since then I think many will agree that it’s been all systems go. It is not a deep dive but you get a quick view of other countries and how things work there and the issues these countries face. The cast is really dope and with each episode we learn a little more about them my favorite has changed twice this season alone, if that’s not good television I don’t know what is.
