Why Mac Jones keeps playing is for Belichick to prove a point to Robert Kraft who wanted him. Belichick keeps playing Mac Jones even though he knows he shouldn’t but does it anyway. Mac Jones has regressed so much from his rookie season it’s hard not to blame Belichick. It’s gotten to the point that Mac has given up mentally and making costly decisions and throwing interceptions on purpose. That’s how broken he is.
That interception at the end of the Colts game in Germany was thrown on purpose. The decisions yesterday throwing to a bunch of Wal-Mart receivers was clear Mac is frustrated and just given up with those two interceptions in the first half yesterday.
The Zappe thing is pointless cause he’s no better. The interception he threw yesterday was also bad and Belichick wants him to succeed but he’s had some chances and can’t deliver either.
Bill Belichick Plays Mac Jones So The Blame Can Be Taken Off Himself
Mac was asked if he has been put in the best position to do well yesterday after the game. He obviously didn’t answer it but like last year I can tell you no he doesn’t think so. Not only does he think he hasn’t been put in the best position but so does Hunter Henry. Henry, and Mac are best friends and I’m sure doesn’t like the fact Mac hasn’t been put in the best position to succeed.
Here is the question and answer from Sunday’s post-game press conference to Mac Jones
Do you feel that you were put in the best position to succeed heading into this game?
Does Robert Kraft think Mac has been put in the best position to succeed? Probably not and If I were Kraft I would tell Belichick not to play him because it would just ruin him more. But because Belichick is ego driven he plays Mac out of spite.
How do you go from the best quarterback of all time to being the worst team in the league? This continues to prove that Belichick was a product of Tom Brady who lifted up everyone around him. It’s been said since day one Mac needs it to be perfect around him in order to succeed which Belichick hasn’t done.
He gets rid of Jakobi Meyers who had a great day yesterday for the Raiders and Mac is left with Marshalls wide receivers who can’t catch, seperate, so Mac just chucks it in triple coverage and it gets intercepted. The Patriots won’t win another game this season. Mac needs to go as far away from the Patriots as possible. And try to save his career with actual talent and good young offensive coaching. Bill O’Brien can only work with what is around Mac and that is nothing.
