The SEC is without the biggest, baddest brand in college football from both a competitive and financial standpoint. In the 21st century, with the transfer portal and NIL, it means the conference continually brings in the best players in the country through a variety of avenues. When the 2024 college football season rolls around, the SEC’s inclusion of Texas and Oklahoma only adds to that narrative.
Combing over hours of game film and transfer updates, I’ve created my All-SEC first team list. The criteria is simple. For each position, I placed the player(s) that I believe will make the biggest impact this year. Standard 11 personnel for offense, nickel formation for defense. The EDGE position takes on a different meaning. It is for players that are classified as either defensive ends or on-ball linebackers that typically line up on the edge of the offensive line. Linebacker is strictly for off-ball linebackers.
With that being said, let’s jump into it.
