Start-up professional sports leagues that challenge the establishment is not a new concept.
Their remains can be found everywhere across this country.
BIG3 basketball, not only challenged the establishment but found its’ place and their organizing team will be welcoming the new decade, clicking champagne glasses.
It’s not every day that a new professional sports league challenges the establishment, and succeeds at it.
Taking into account the BIG3βs changing their venue from FOX Broadcasting Company to CBS Television Network and also their early-season dismissal of some malcontent players at the start of their third season, I expected a drop-off and the ever so popular Haters to start singing their favorite hit song, “I told you!”.
Like clockwork, they were singing it in every social media platform imaginable.
Then it happened, the BIG3 behind Ice Cube – their fearless ambassador, and its’ organizing body validated their legitimacy in epic fashion in year three, making all the right moves to protect The BIG3 Brand.
I know β my guy, Ice Cube.
Donβt let the smile fool youβ¦Cube eats Adversity for breakfast and he has Skin In The Game.
Ice Cube has done a lot of great things in his career, but starting a sports league has been truly amazing and it has added to his legendary status.
Using his clout and connections to organize a competitive 3-on-3 basketball league and also to be able to maintain it to move in the right direction has been simply incredible.
It will be a cold day in Hell, before anybody gets the better of him, trust me!
βOur philosophy is, first they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they ask for a meeting. Then they beg for a meeting. Weβre going through our stages, but weβll be here when they beg for that meeting.β, Ice Cube.
