The Patriots get a lucky win beating Denver and all of a sudden Zappe is the second coming of Tom Brady because he threw some ducks to DeVante Parker and he caught it. Fingertips Parker was fine catching the ball on Sunday night despite not taking accountability during the Raiders game. Mac Jones hit Parker in the hands with time winding down in the fourth quarter and he dropped it. After the game, Parker said the ball hit his fingertips. Nice to see him show up when he feels like it.
Bailey Zappe Doesn’t Know His Place
I don’t like the way Zappe carries himself it’s fine to have confidence but know your place. You are a backup in the league and lucky Belichick didn’t destroy you because you’re a fourth-round pick. Guaranteed if he was a first-round pick he’d be on the bench. Belichick hates offense and quarterbacks. He only likes late-round quarterbacks because he can develop them and he can take credit. First-round quarterbacks come with baggage and are guaranteed to get the starting job.
The Broncos aren’t a good offense that’s why the defense looked so good. They couldn’t stop Mahomes last week and Zappe threw a great interception in the second half. The Chiefs got beat by the Raiders this past week who also beat the Patriots. Face it, the Patriots got lucky beating Denver and if they were better on offense Denver would’ve won. Zappe can take a chill pill the Patriots are 4-11 and eliminated from the playoffs.
Chad Ryland who Belichick wasted a draft pick on makes a lucky kick at the end of the game after missing some extra points.
Zappe had a bad first half Sunday night he’s inconsistent but he doesn’t talk like it after the game. You would think after hearing him talk the Patriots are 11-4 instead of 4-11. Here’s a quote from Sunday after the game from Zappe
“I’m on cloud nine. I’m going to enjoy these next few days—Christmas and everything.”
Zappe was on cloud nine after beating a Broncos team that couldn’t move the ball on offense. But Zappe couldn’t move the ball against Mahomes and the Chiefs. Or even the Chargers at home.
But sure your 4-11 and your kicker made a lucky kick at the end of the game to win it. Cloud nine for sure. In two weeks you’ll be packing your stuff for the off-season. I bet half the players are already making off-season plans I know Trent Brown is.
Does anyone think Zappe will be able to sit behind a quarterback without not opening his mouth about how he should start? Nope, he hasn’t since being drafted a year ago. His overconfidence is very annoying about how when he was cut in training camp he knew he would start. Congrats you’re starting for a 4-win team and eliminated from the playoffs after your head coach ruined a first-round quarterback. Does this kid not understand his place? You’re not Tom Brady and he’s an inconsistent backup at best. Zappe needs to chill period.
