A lot has changed recently with Wiz DG since my previous article on the draft recap. The team is just recently coming off winning the 3v3 blacktop series tournament that took place in Indianapolis. Also, @Dayfri was awarded the first-ever 3v3 SLAM open MVP as he played out position this whole tournament on PG as he is known for playing at the Center position. The team now adds another accolade to their collection to go along with back-to-back NBA 2KLeague finals trophies.
Previously at the beginning of May before the team would go on to win the 3v3 SLAM tournament they would engage in a 4 team trade that would send the PG the team drafted in the first round TyESGN to KingsGuard Gaming and the Wiz would acquire the rookie PG @JustKapp from Magic Gaming who was the number 10 pick in this year’s draft. Overall I believe the trade was a good one there have been improvements from both teams since the trade has happened.
The team is back in Indy for “The Turn” the mid-season 5v5 tournament as they faced off against Pacers Gaming. Wiz DG went on to defeat the Pacers 66 to 55 with @JustKapp being the leading scorer with 26 points and 6 assists, @Dayfri with 11 points and 11 rebounds (Double-double) and 4 blocks, @BRICHARDSON with 16 points and 5 assists, @JustAwkward with 6 points and 2 steals and last but not least @Newdini with 7 points, 6 rounds, and 3 assists. The next matchup for the Wiz will be vs Knicks gaming Friday at 7:30 PM EST on twitch on the NBA2KLeague. I will have a recap article for the game Friday.
