There’s nothing like finding a good spot on the couch or your bed and binge-watching a good mystery show. ‘All Her Fault’ is being praised as such and with good reason. Now, let’s break down who did what, why they did it, and if they got what they deserved.
All Her Fault began with a bang. Marissa showed up at a house to pick up her son, Milo, who was supposedly on a play date, only to be told that he wasn’t there and had never been there. The hunt was on, but most importantly, the questions were looming. Who the hell took Milo and why?
For the majority of the show, it was a mystery until we got the answer. It was a nanny who snatched Milo, but the story went much deeper. For those who watched, you know where this is going. What we’re about to do is take the people involved and find out if their actions were warranted.
Marissa was innocent, meaning she had nothing to do with the kidnapping. However, Marissa is not without guilt. She was a workaholic, which provided the necessary space for Carrie to make her move. As good as ‘All Her Fault’ was, the one thing that came off wrong was how they tried to make it seem that mothers are paying more attention to work than to their families.

Now, Marissa, in the end, did commit a crime. She killed her husband, but was she right in doing so? Murder is a tough pill, but to be fair, can we really blame her for what she did to Peter? She was terrified of him and what he could do. Yes, he was a manipulator, and Marissa knew the only way to get away from him was if Peter were dead. Marissa did what she had to do in order to keep her and Milo safe.
Peter came off as the good husband, but he was hiding more secrets than the Epstein files. With his brother confined to a spinal injury, it was revealed that it was Peter who caused his injury and let his sister not only take the blame but also deal with the fallout that changed the course of her life. Then came the bombshell that he was the reason Milo was taken.
While taking Milo home from the hospital, there was an accident. Peter, believing that Carrie was dead, switched babies. Was he wrong for that? That’s the million-dollar question. Think about it. First trip home with his newborn child and wife, and there is a deadly accident. No one knows if it was the trauma of it all, but that was his son he just lost, and he saw an opportunity. Imagine your wife waking up only to find out that her only child was killed in an accident. How do you comfort that?

Then you have Carrie, who set all this up. Yes, taking Milo was wrong, and every viewer was against her, but then the bombshell hit, and it all made sense. Carrie was never the same, and then finding out her son was still alive, well, she did what any parent would have done. Her intentions were never to hurt anyone. Carrie was in a bad place mentally. All she wanted was her family to be together. Even before she died, Carrie, with a gun in hand, asked them to take care of Milo. She knew her time was coming to an end and wanted to make sure Milo was safe.
The three main characters in All Her Fault were not perfect. Their secrets, choices, and actions all played a huge role in what happened. Decisions had to be made, and while some got away with murder, the question is, did they get what they deserved in the end? 2 mothers fighting and trying to protect the same child, and a father willing to do whatever to keep his secret hidden.
Such a GREAT show!!! Good article!!
