While all the talk on All American is centered around Spencer James making it to the NFL, is there room for Jordan Baker as well? Somehow, his football storyline gets swept under the rug but he’s a good solid player.
Even dating back to his high school days, Jordan was the guy. While injuries did derail his time on the field, he more than made up for that. Then in college, he was given his shot following the QB1 scandal, and still, Jordan rose to the occasion. Is it that far-fetched to believe that Jordan is not as good as other QBs in the country?
Whatever Spencer does on the field as a receiver, Jordan will have his hand in his success as well. Jordan should not be discounted in just his freshman year. His stellar and sometimes shaky play has turned heads on the field. Now, as the pair gets ready for what is supposed to be their sophomore year (pending a time jump), his game should elevate. That’s if the writers don’t make Jordan suffer a setback to keep the attention on Spencer.
Will All American Highlight Jordan In Season 6
With everything going on in his life and the trauma he has had to endure, Jordan deserves the recognition and praise that should come his way. Right now, Spencer is not an All-American. In High School, he was but in college, he’s just getting his feet wet.
From the Season 6 promos, there appears to be some hostility between Jordan and Spencer. Well, that’s nothing new. As close as they are, they’ve been here before. Every season, they are at each other’s neck about something. But this time, it’s about their future. Jordan is all on board for team ball while Spencer has a bigger prize in his sights.
As with most QB and WR duos, if one does well, the other will gain recognition. However, for most of this series, Spencer has upstaged Jordan Baker was not regarded as the prize prospect coming in. Now, after a successful freshman season, that is sure to change. Not only will Spencer get the looks, but some of those should be reserved for Jordan Baker as well. The bigger question is, can they both handle it?
Not only the pressure to perform but can they share the spotlight? This is where Billy Baker would come into play. He had a way to make them both see that they shared the same goal. With his presence gone, who will fill that void for them on All-American this season? When they play as a united front, there is no better tandem on the field. With that said, there is no doubt that Spencer James is not the only person who should make the NFL on All American.
