Baltimore Ravens fans saw plenty of reasons to be optimistic in Sunday’s 13-10 loss to the Cleveland Browns. That’s even as the final minutes made for a frustrating finish. Baltimore opened with a 10-0 lead. Its defense kept the game within reach. Now the Ravens will look to regroup before a key AFC North matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Ravens’ first two drives produced 111 yards and 10 points. Rookie tight end Josh Cuevas caught Tyler Huntley’s 2-yard touchdown pass, and Tyler Loop added a field goal. Huntley, making his second straight start with Lamar Jackson sidelined by an ankle injury, finished 19-of-31 for 165 yards and a touchdown.
Cleveland’s defense adjusted as the game went on, making it tougher for Baltimore to sustain drives. The Ravens managed 124 yards over their next nine possessions. The Browns rallied from their early deficit to win on a field goal as time expired.
Derrick Henry finished with 58 yards on 17 carries. His fourth-quarter fumble helped Cleveland tie the game, and Henry took responsibility with his teammates after the loss. Baltimore also had a chance to extend its lead, but Loop’s 49-yard field-goal attempt fell short.
The result was disappointing, but the Ravens had some encouraging performances to build on. Ja’Kobi Lane returned from injured reserve and caught four passes for 40 yards. Cuevas delivered his best game of the season, leading Baltimore’s tight ends with four catches for 44 yards and the team’s only touchdown.
The defense also gave Baltimore a chance to win. Kyle Hamilton kept making plays, and Trey Hendrickson made an immediate impact on his return. Cleveland’s winning drive came late, when Deshaun Watson connected with Jerry Jeudy for a 33-yard gain to set up the deciding kick.
The Ravens are now 4-2, tied with Cleveland and Pittsburgh in a competitive AFC North. Jackson’s status will be closely watched as Baltimore prepares to host the Bengals next week. A strong home response would give the Ravens a chance to turn a tough Sunday into a brief setback and keep their division hopes alive.
