Drake Maye Panics In The Red Zone
Drake Maye doesn’t have a security blanket like he did a year ago. He’s going to have to create one with Hollins or Douglas, since Dobbs is still getting used to the offense. Someone needs to step up with AJ Brown out because Drake Maye is struggling mentally right now. Throwing interceptions in the end zone is unacceptable—that shouldn’t happen. I thought they’d beat Jacksonville yesterday, but that offense can’t do anything past the 50, and they struggle in the red zone. It’s like Maye panics and forces throws, which leads to interceptions.
Jakobi Meyers showed up for Jacksonville—remember when the Patriots had him? Drake Maye had someone like that last year in Diggs, but someone else is going to have to be that guy. Douglas started too yesterday, then dropped a pass over his head that would have been a touchdown. Kayshon Boutte would’ve made that catch though he’s taller but on the other side of that is put the ball so Douglas can catch it.
Drake Maye Needs To Relax
Josh McDaniels is going to have to get someone that Drake Maye is comfortable with the ball in crunch time so he doesn’t panic because once they get the ball past the 50 again it’s just panic mode. It’s similar to Mac Jones because Jones who was failed by Belichick but also lost his security blanket in Meyers and panicked in the red zone. The same thing is happening to Drake Maye he is panicking in the red zone andThrowing interceptions by forcing it.
