Stop the lying right now. Viewers are claiming on social media that they figured out who the killer was on the new Netflix hit, His & Hers, by the 3rd episode. How?? Now, I’m not saying there are no geniuses in this world, but at what point in the show did the writers even come remotely close to revealing the killer or giving any indication that it was that specific person?

I went back and watched up to that point of His & Hers, and with me even knowing who did it from watching it the first time, I still didn’t see it. Why do we go on social media and want to appear to be smarter than we are? Just fall in line with the rest of us clueless people and admit that you were stumped.

The writing on the show was Oscar-worthy. It was twists and turns throughout. The moment when you thought it was one person, the finger pointing shifted to another, and then right back to your original thought, only to find out in the end, we had no damn idea what we were watching or paying attention to.

Now, what I will say is that after the killer was revealed, you went back through your thoughts and said to yourself, how did I miss that? Easy, we missed it because of the misdirection. That’s what makes a good show. For those who did not see it, I guess you need to stop reading this article now because I may slip up in this article and reveal who the killer is.

At first, it was Jack. He was doing everything he could to throw everyone off his trail. Then we looked at Anna as she watched Jack and Rachel in the truck. It had to be one of them, right? Then we learned that they were all friends in high school, and the motive for the killing at her hand made sense.

No matter who the writers tried to put the focus on, it always came back to them. Maybe Jack killed her out of lust or anger as Rachel played that “I’m better than you are” on the blue-collar detective. Maybe he snapped and couldn’t take the down-talking any longer.

Then, with Anna, the writers of His & Hers really began to point the finger in her direction. It was the secret in the woods that pushed her to the forefront. It was the little things that suggested she hated Rachel enough to end her life. It was all there. But even when they had their little heart-to-heart talk, we thought maybe neither of them did it. It even got to the point that I thought Jack and Anna were covering for one another. But still, if Anna did it, we would have understood. Cause truth be told, Rachel was a stone cold bitch.

Then all the theories and mysteries came to a crashing halt after Lexy was killed. Throughout the show, we heard the voiceover of Anna, only to be blindsided. She was reading a letter written by another person. In that letter, the truth came out.

So, for all those saying they knew all along who the killer was, how? There was no damn way you figured that person did what they did. Now, if you ask them how they know, they will go back and say this was the clue that gave it away. Bullshit, they can say that now because the ending has aired, and they can pinpoint some small detail and say that was when they knew. Once again, I call bullshit.

It’s okay to say that His & Hers had you guessing. It’s okay to say that you didn’t know. It’s okay to say that you were just as clueless as the rest of us. Once you admit that to yourself, the only thing you’re admitting is that His & Hers was a great mystery, arguably one of the best in the last 5 years.
