With the 2025 NFL Season upon us, the Baltimore Ravens have their eyes on the prize, which is that Vince Lombardi trophy, and when looking at this current team, I don’t see any weak spot on this entire team, not one. In my eyes, the Ravens are the most complete team not only in the AFC but in the whole NFL. If they can put it all together, both regular and postseason, there’s no reason why this team can’t hoist the Lombardi trophy in February in Super Bowl LX. They also have players ready to break out and make significant contributions to the team in the upcoming season. Here are four players, in my opinion, who will make a notable impact in 2025.
Trenton Simpsons LB:
The 3rd-year linebacker from Clemson has a chance to show the coaching staff that he can start right next to All-Pro Roquan Smith at Inside linebacker. Simpson, who had a good second year, is looking to continue his rise on defense. If he can achieve around 85-95 total tackles and create some turnovers during the 2025 season, then Trenton Simpson could solidify his spot at the Inside linebacker spot, right next to Roquan Smith, for the future moving forward.
Andrew Vorhees G:
Andrew Vorhees didn’t see the field at all during his rookie year due to a torn ACL. In his 1st year playing, he played 15 games and started 3. One bright spot during his 2024 season was that he didn’t allow a sack in 268 plays, which is quite impressive considering he was coming back from a torn ACL. Coming into the 2025 season, he was announced as the starting LG on the offensive line, and if he can show his talents while at USC, then Vorhees could turn out to be not only a great value pick in the 7th round but a steal as well. And I believe his ceiling this year could be a Pro Bowl nod if he can stay healthy for a whole year and play all seventeen games in 2025.
Nate Wiggins CB:
Nate Wiggins had a solid rookie season coming out of Clemson University. In 17 games, Wiggins only allowed a total of 175 yards on 37 total targets in his rookie year, and he didn’t allowed a single touchdown when covering his man in coverage. In 2025, I expected him to continue what he did in his rookie year, and by the end of the season, he could be in the conversation as one of the top 10, maybe even top 5 cornerbacks in the entire NFL. And with Marlon Humphrey in the slot and Nate Wiggins on the outside, Wiggins can show the coaching staff that I remain the tightest coverage of the opponents’ best wide receiver for an entire game.
Isaiah Likely TE:
Isaiah Likely is likely to have a significant offensive role in 2025, alongside other tight ends Mark Andrews and Charlie Kolar, in the Baltimore Ravens’ offense. With a contract extension looming, Isaiah Likely will most likely need 1000 receiving yards to officially break out from Mark Andrews, who is scheduled to be a free agent after the season, and Likely can prove to the team that he can be the #1 tight end for 2026 and beyond. And when Likely was on the field, he only had one drop the entire season, which proves that if he can duplicate his 2024 season, he can become a valuable asset for the offense and Lamar Jackson come playoff time.
Overall Thoughts:
Trenton Simpson, Andrew Vorhees, Nate Wiggins, and Isaiah Likely are great young, talented players for the Baltimore Ravens team. If all four of these players break out and make contributions to the team, then I don’t see any reason why the Ravens won’t be hoisting their 3rd Lombardi trophy in franchise history.
