For Oregon, it starts at QB and Dillion Gabriel who brings a boatload of experience, along with weapons that make it hard for any defense. Matayo Uiagalalelei brings the pressure from the outside and has already reached the 10-sack mark. There is a lot at stake since the winner should be the number 1 seed in the CFB playoff, while the loser will host a 1st round game. Can the new kids to the Big 10 Oregon win it or will PSU get its first title since 2016?
For Penn State, one of the keys is the RB duo of Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen if they can make rushing attempts count that does two things for the Nittany Lions. One keeps the Ducks offense on the sideline, and two opens up the passing game for Drew Allar and all-world TE Tyler Warren. He can line up everywhere including quarterback. Also need the next man up with the loss of Anthony Donkoh at right tackle
Abdul Carter is a problem he can make QBs uncomfortable as well as free up others on defense to do damage. The defense will need to keep the Ducks players in front of them get Gabriel to move around and hope for some mistakes with forced throws.
James Franklin and his record vs AP ranked teams has been talked about a LOT as it should be. So, the question now is can he do it now? Will Drew Allar take his game to a whole other level and bring this offense the showing we have been waiting for? The experts all are calling for either a blowout or a close PSU loss at the end. It has been a season full of tests and this one is a big one, Oregon has been ranked number one for weeks with blowout after blowout wins.
A fast start and limiting big plays will be “the factor” I’ve been burned so many times by this team big game after big game. But damn it I will still ride with the home team, I am calling a dog fight that ends with a 34-31 Penn State win. We know the college football playoffs are next just a matter of what seed and where. Tighten up the chin straps boys and get ready for a dog fight. #WeAre
