The Found storyline where everyone hates Gabi is getting a bit foolish. Yes, she kidnapped Sir and held him in her basement and one might even understand the anger her friends felt but to drag this out for the early stages of Season 2, it’s time to stop.
Margaret is the main one. She was never a favorite character of mine but I find myself wishing she weren’t on Found anymore. I can understand her voicing her frustration at least in the first episode or two but she was not the one taken and held hostage at a young age. She has no idea what Gabby went through and why she did what she did.
But Margaret is carrying it as if Gabi kidnapped the President of the United States or her son. It’s not that serious. Margaret is not without her hiccups but by the way she acts, it’s like she compares herself to Mother Teresa.
Was Gabi right with her actions? Well, that’s hard to say. Dhan helped her track Sir down and he thought that Gabi killed him. Hell, he’s a true friend. He said nothing to anyone. He was mad when he found out but he got over it quickly. He understands what Gabi is dealing with.
As for Zeke, he’s another one that’s riding a high horse and he shouldn’t be. He can fund M&A all he wants but once again, what Gabi did was not to hurt them. She had a score to settle that I don’t think anyone but Lacey fully understands.
She was kidnapped by a man who lusted over a teenage girl. And to make her happy, he kidnapped another girl. Lacey lives in fear but if there is anyone to understand why Gabi did it, it should be Lacey. And yet, Margaret and Zeke are hell-bent on trying to turn Lacey against Gabi when we all know that’s damn near impossible to do. Their bond is tight and while it may have cracks in it, they share something no one else in M&A could ever understand.
With Margaret being arrested in the latest episode of Found, I believe this was done to humble her. She needs it, especially after telling Gabi that she took the latest case to prepare herself for when Gabi goes away. That was a total low blow there and one that was not needed. Margret is becoming a real issue.
Gabi is far from perfect but in a way, viewers can understand her actions. Holding Sir hostage was a way to pay back what he did to her it was a way to gain back that control. This is from a woman who lost everything. Her trust in a teacher, a father, and her childhood, and in a sense she wanted to take back whatever control she could.
It’s a cat-and-mouse game between those two. Gabi needed this. Right or wrong, it’s time everyone puts that anger behind them and moves on.
